    Hardy took over the 4th and showed us the amount of talent he has, his best skill right now is his quick trigger from 3 he really can hit them, I wonder if he will crack the rotation for us.

    my first-game-of-preseason-overreactions

    * CWood is an incredibly gifted offensive player. He can shoot and finish extremely well for a big. He only had one assist tonight but it was a perfect attack-and-dish dime. Hope he can tap into that part of his game more because it looked promising.
    * CWood’s defense looked like doodoo from what I saw but it is preseason and at least he can gobble up defensive rebounds (something we were sorely lacking in that Warriors series).
    * Hardy looked fantastic, love what we saw from him. Hope he gets some opportunities once the regular season starts. If the shooting is real, he could be the steal of the draft.
    * The action was sloppy AF tonight, so I don’t put too much stock in the high turnover numbers. It looked more like a pickup game at times than NBA ball with some of the dumb assist attempts.

    People might be sleepin on the role Jaden could have this year. Run him 15 mins a game as a little microwave scorer where he isn’t the first option and it might be kinda nice

    Hardy has the skills that can’t be taught (IQ, Defensive reads, shooting, etc.) He just needs to work on his handles especially in traffic, which can be developed. I would just make Doe and Reggie swipe at him constantly as he does drills driving every damn practice.

    CWood looks exactly like what we were missing idgaf if it’s preseason game #1, you can just tell Luka is going to give him so much space.

    McKinley Wright IV is that trey Burke role we need, only considering to see how much more he develops the rest of training camp honestly

    Maaan, we are so hard on the guys even in a preseason game where they’re not even warmed up. We have to give ‘em some slack to shake off the rust, and get used to playing with each other. I mean some of the early takes on C Wood and Hardy were just ridiculous.

    That said, it’s a preseason game. Take the positives with a huge grain of salt too.

    Lastly, just damn happy to watch this team again.

    I’m just happy mavs basketball is back. Josh and Spense look good and Hardy and Wood got cooking after slow starts. We also hit FT’s when okc was just sitting at the line all night. Don’t win many games with a ft disparity like that. Poor Frank looks just as lost as ever.

    The absolute greatest thing about Hardy is that he is one of these guys who knows that he belongs. No doubt about it. He is the anti Josh Green.

    Ntilikina was terrible. Hardy will usurp him in the lineup really quickly

    It’s one preseason game, but Mavs might have another steal from the 2nd round just like with Brunson. Also, it’d be a great change of pace to see the Mavs actually draft well consistently.
