Dejounte Murray is the greatest player of all time

To the eastern conference, I have some bad news. You’re gonna get your butt kicked by the Atlanta Hawks this year. They’re going to win 67 games, there is going to be a lot of 3’s and high fives. A lot of guys from the bench standing up with ice on their knees because the 13th man on the bench dunked to put them up by 40 with 5 minutes left.

Hey Bucks fans, what is the letter of the day?

  4. CounterInsanity

I only watched about 3 quarters but here’s a couple of my observations **BASED ON ONE PRESEASON GAME**:

    * Transition and perimeter defense looked suspect but better compared to last season already.

    * Murray is already fitting well into the offense. Also DJM boxes out like he’s 7 feet tall lol.

    * Trae did not look comfortable playing off ball. Not worried about it, it’s a huge change. I’m not expecting him to pick it up at a snap of a finger.

    * Dre’s shot is looking good and was playing the passing lanes well on defense.

Overall, it was a fine pre season showing. Sad we saw more of Steve Harvey than AJ though.

It’s over for the league. 98-0 season incoming

Knicks fans shaking in their boots right now after bragging for 2 days about 16 points from Brunson as their major offseason pickup

  9. Shade_Raven

I missed the game cause a blind family member got stoned and wanted pizza lmao

  10. Bourneidentity61

DJM with an efficient 25/8/9 we’re gonna be scary

  11. Shade_Raven

AJ Griffin didnt give up a single point.

    Lockdown defender.

  12. Cool for the fans we ran out the starters for as long as Nate did. Not taking much away from 1 preseason game but gahdamn JC is still a fucking MENANCE on the alley-oops.

  13. ahend1999

you know that dude who says “braves never lose” really aggressively, i need to find that meme screenshot and put “hawks never lose”

  14. DripGodAirborne

Keep In Mind, Jalen Johnson Didn’t Even Play Today 💯‼️

  15. I simply love this team. The Hawks and Braves have been such a joy to follow for the past several years

  16. Enjoyed today’s showing from the team and this season is looking bright from what I saw.

DeAndre Hunter looked great today. Knocked down some open 3 pointers. I saw an improved handle and there were a couple instances of him using it to break down his defenders. Also aggressive in getting to the rim and was able to draw a couple of fouls Also to note that he got 7 rebounds! A great showing from someone who averaged 3 last season. MIP season incoming!

JC was great. Efficient. The finger doesn’t seem to affect him. Looks explosive and had a couple highlight dunks which were awesome. Should excel with Trae and Dejounte feeding him. I can believe people wanted still him gone AFTER the Murray trade.

Trae Young was Trae Young. Was cold to begin with but heated up later. Something to note is that with Dejounte the rest of the team was able to function without Trae being on.

Dejounte Murray was amazing. Got near a triple double. Was cooking especially with the midrange shots. Saw a couple of highlight passes. Murray was a plus just being on the floor and I’m excited to see more in the season. Everyone was eating having both of them on the floor. I’m so happy we were able to get him AND keeps JC.

Okongwu was solid. Had a couple of moments where the hands wasn’t great but I saw some good defensive possessions. Offensively he had multiple good plays and he was able to eat by playing with Trae or Murray. Had a corner 3 point attempts which missed but it looked good. Happy to see more of him and his continued development. I do feel like unfortunately there will come a day where we will have to choose between CC and OO. OO will likely be the choice so it’s important he can develop as much as possible.

Aaron Holiday was solid with 16. Was able to get to the rim a few times which is great for a backup. He hit a couple threes. Had three rebounds. Not much other than that.

Excited for the rest of the preseason and I can’t wait until the regular season starts. The league is in trouble.

  17. Shade_Raven

Trae/DJM/Aaron Holiday is constant pace and rim pressure woof

  18. Shade_Raven

Bobby Portis is on a shortlist of players I hate watching the Hawks play

  19. cblocktherock

Imma keep an eye on Collins’ 3pt efficiency this year. Got a feeling he’s more confident in it right now than last year

  20. neeshskee

Can someone summarise the game for me? 5am was far too early for a wake up today hahah only caught the last 5 mins

  21. I’ll get downvoted to hell but Dejounte Murray is overrated as hell. Dude is basically a slap hitter and doesn’t do shit to help win ballgames. He can sure joke around with the runner on first tho.

Edit: jeez yall chill it’s a braves copypasta

  22. Basketball_Soul

I know it’s preseason so maybe I shouldn’t take too much, but the box score would indicate to me Dejounte was doing a lot of the facilitating. How did it look with Murray and Trae on the court at the same time? Both bringing the ball up? One initiating the offense more than the other?
