The Raptors Have A HUGE Decision To Make With Their Bench..



The Toronto Raptors bench unit showed out yesterday after taking over in a game where the team was down 18 points heading into the 4th quarter, before forcing overtime and eventually winning against the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden. As mentioned it was not the main cast of the Raptors players like Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes forcing this turn around but rather a bench cast of players like Dalano Banton, Josh Jackson and Jeff Dowtin Jr. This made Raptors fans begin to question of this could be the start of the return of the BENCH MOB.

In this video Jacob Gramegna voices his thoughts about this in a main channel video on Amateur Hour Sports. The bench was impressive no doubt but how many of these players will be able to crack Nick Nurse’s main rotation? There is a glaring whole for the backup guard spot in Toronto, and Malachi Flynn hasn’t made a strong case, so why not Banton or Dowtin?

    Raptors box and one would only make sense if we can turn Champagnie into the one. Wish I knew their intentions but Josh jackson is looking promising

    Juancho can go. I don’t care if his deal is guaranteed either. You can’t turn down talent just to keep a player because he has a guaranteed deal when he’s being outplayed by the competition. Even Gabe Brown is outplaying him. Remember we kept Paul Watson over Brissett which was a mistake. Pay Juancho his money and give him his walking paper’s. Nurse can be stubborn at time’s like starting McCaw over Norm.. I sense another Brissett situation coming soon.

    We need to understand that Josh Jackson is in that draft class of Jason Tatum a 4th round pick he just didn’t landed in the right organization but 4th many team tank just to get players like that. Yes team Tank for player like the draft pick like Josh Jackson

    Idgaf about our bench becoming another bench mob. I seen this same video and topic every year for the past 3 or 4 years after the bench has maybe 1 good game in a preseason game or an early regular season game. Idrc whether the bench is resembling of a bench mob or not. Give me a decent bench unit that isn't one of the worst in the league and I'll be more than happy. I'm not gonna continually hope that our bench all of a sudden becomes the best in the entire league. Just be average to begin with then we go from there.

    starters looked like they were forcing it ,,trying to do the one-on-one moves they practiced instead of doing them within the flow ,,,,,it showed in their shooting percentage 33%..the bench forced nothing just attacked the basket and the defence and found the open guys

    banton is going to be very good when he develops killer instinct ,,he is still working on the team first aspect

    Juancho might still be experiencing jet lag hardcore but it’s still no excuse to be like net 0 lol
