There were a lot of positives out of this game. Killians aggressiveness, Duren showed he is going to be a problem and floor spacing is going to be much better with the added editions.
Will Duren have a better opportunity to develop his offensive game in the G league tho?
maybe on a west road trip mid season they send him down to get some work on the offensive end… but thats even doubtful at this point unless they really want to showcase neal for a week to get him traded
Seems a bit contradictive to say we shouldn't be worried about such an embarrassing L because its preseason but then turn around and say we can take what we saw from Duren as proof that he can play in the league.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge Sean. Hayes, Ivey n Duren sure did play well. The other lolly gags n scally wags from that preseason warm up game will play better.
Stewart needs another big next to him. He had to try to box out both randle and Mitchell. A lot Of the time you could look and see that Stewart was boxing out And someone else would get the rebound because he had the big boxed out. You can go back to last year and see how much better stew played last year when he actually had another big next to him in the bagley. The same thing Happened last year when he had Grant next to him and we all know Grant didn’t even look at rebounds. To me his performance was more indicative of the lineup then stew himself.
And honestly bojan would be a killer off the bench
People want to diss Andre Drummond all the time. Someone said they could see Duren doing as well or better than Andre as a rookie. Drummond averaged 21 minutes a game, 8 points and 8 rebounds and a block and a half as a rookie. If Duren can do that for them this season then he did really well.
Stewart can't start at the 5, he's too small for the current lineup… Noel or Duren are better choices
So yeah, it is preseason, and the Knicks made it out to be a playoff game, but if the Pistons do cook anyone of the pre-games, I bet hats will be flying and 'male-twerking' everywhere
Duren is going to be a dog. 14 boards in low minutes at 18 years old
i keep telling ppl they have talent but their young give them time the key is how good duren can become on the offense side at least a decent 20 25 feet and develop a post game i mb3 at the 4 hes more athletic and a better lob threat

I think we need to stop talking about Diq's 50🍔like that means he's going to be elite. He was really hot for one game, his volume of shooting with efficiency should result in a lot of points. He's still gotta prove he can go night in and night out averaging 15+ on 40% from 3. That his baseline as a starter imo.

We didn’t have a problem throwing Killian out there to fry when he wasn’t ready to start so I don’t see why all the hesitation with Duren if your ready your ready that’s why some guys are born stars and some aren’t.
