The NBA Should be TERRIFIED of the Atlanta Hawks Offense!

The Atlanta Hawks have been an extremely dynamic regular season offense ever since breaking out during the 2020-21 NBA season. They even showcased some of that offensive talent during the 2021 NBA Playoffs, when they went all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals. However, despite an improved offense in 2022, Atlanta not only had a worse record, but they also fell in the first round of the playoffs to the Miami Heat…rather convincingly might I add. So, Travis Schlenk and the Hawks organization knew they needed to make a move in order to surround Trae Young with more star talent. So, Atlanta sent away Danilo Gallinari and 3 future first round draft picks to the San Antonio Spurs, in exchange for Dejounte Murray. The fit of Young and Murray in the same backcourt seemed like an awkward fit, and some even went as far as to say the Hawks overpaid. But, after watching the Hawks first preseason game in Abu Dhabi against the Milwaukee Bucks, I think we can agree that this experiment just might work out. Because with Dejounte Murray out there, the Hawks offense is completely diversified. So let’s dive into this Atlanta Hawks offense, and discuss the roles of Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, De’Andre Hunter, John Collins, and Clint Capela!
