Ayton doesn't deserve the max. He as incrementally improved each year, and all his highlights are basically lobs from Chris Paul. What exactly is he sacrificing? He can't create his own shot. His defense is mediocre even with his Dwight Howard physique. Yes, he CAN rebound, but only because he's one of the few centers that still stay under the basket the entire game.

When I saw Adelaide vs Phoenix, I thought it was going to be a bloodbath and too embarrassing for an Australian to watch. (Although, technically I'm Brit, just been here 20 years.) Then I saw the YouTube titles and thought, "no way!" So I watched the highlights. Far out….however embarrassing it could have been for the 36ers, it's nothing compared to what the Suns now have to suffer. Plus, 36ers are having to adapt from FIBA where the game is totally different. Even the 3pt line is closer, so all those deep threes were virtually the equivalent of centre court. Yowsers… 😬🙈

If I was their coach I would make the entire team pack a bag for a month and head to some remote basketball camp in the mountains away from civilization. Have them train, practice, and play every day together all day for an entire month. This would fix their issues.
Not to mention Crowder isn’t gonna play for the suns cause they wanted to move him to the bench. He was more important than people realize

I think a big mistake is a lot of fans think the international scene is completely garbage. The reality is that the gap of talent is closing significantly for the average player compared to an overseas player

Completely skipped over the Crowder issue of losing his starting job and being on the trade block.
Then the whole Sarver issue.
This team didn't even smile during the training camp media day. They got embarrassed vs Dallas and had a disaster off-seaaon.

I definitely think you’re inflating Ayton’s value in this video. He is inconsistent and has a low motor. He’s a good center but he is not worth a max.
They'll start poor but CP3 is just that kind of leader he'll find a way to right the ship, and get them to a 4 or 5 seed.
