[Richard Jefferson] Id fire my ENTIRE VIDEO STAFF

After the video of the Draymond and Poole fight came out, Richard Jefferson tweeted,

[“Id fire my ENTIRE VIDEO STAFF.”](https://twitter.com/Rjeff24/status/1578388168864190466)

As Nick Wright has mentioned,

> “[On one hand you have Draymond Green, a team leader & veteran, rolling up on & throwing a haymaker at an unsuspecting, much smaller, teammate. On the other hand, you have some anonymous employee who leaked the video. Curious to see who focus on which party today!”](https://twitter.com/getnickwright/status/1578390112345399298)

———————————–

It looks like the players have chose what they want to focus on. They aren’t going to say anything about one of their brothers. Instead, it looks like the new media will be trying to shift the topic to who might’ve released the video. šŸ¤·

Why are so many players focusing on the “Who leaked it” part of the video and not on Draymond who literally assaulted his teamate

  2. bravof1ve

These guys are getting more upset about someone videotaping an assault, than the actual assault

  3. Apprehensive_Gap6249

“The New Media” is codeword for Player Propaganda lol.

  4. StefonDiggsHS

I’m not surprised players and former players are acting this way, I would imagine something like this happens every year for every team.

    still its completely unacceptable

  5. EuroStep0

so players are blaming person who sent the video to TMZ rather than person who clocked their teammate…

  6. OverIyDedicated

Whoever leaked that video got a massive payday. I would 100% do the same

  7. zmajxdd2

Most of you players earned more in a single game than this poor SOB earns in a year. Get off your high horse smh

  8. DrumzRUs

Cause the video creates even more drama. Imagine if we had footage of Mj punching Kerr. Yall dont even care about that since you didnt see it

  9. GoldenBananas21

You can be upset at Draymond and the people who leaked the video. Itā€™s not that complicated people

  10. Bonbonalizer

Idc how competitive a sport is Iā€™m always reluctant to excuse assault

  11. BabaBrody

Truly hope it was someone working maintenance or security or building staff who makes 45K a year and got a huge payday for it. Buy a home, pay off your debts, have a crazy Christmas for your family.

Alternatively would love for it to have been Joe Lacob, who is sitting around going “Fuck, I gotta pay this whole team and the tax on it” and is grabbing cash however it comes.

  12. throwawayjoeyboots

Pro athletes arenā€™t used to consequences and accountability for their actions. When youā€™ve had your ass kissed your entire life, it just comes natural.

  13. RGPISGOOD

yea, blame it on the lowly peons rather than the one actually committing a crime (assault).

  14. LarryKoofer43

Nba players sound like cops today lmao

  15. whyareucryan

That person will get paid more for that video than they will the entire year probablyā€¦ Draymond Green is the menace here.

  16. The fuck is wrong with all these players acting like leaking the video is worse than what happened in it? Seriously, what the fuck.

  17. HelloJerry5A

Grown men shouldnā€™t be punching other grown men, fuck your dumb ass code

  18. UncleDrewDogger

Players are quick to (probably rightfully) call out other public figures/people in power when they cover for their own.

But no shame to do it themselves when the situation comes up.

It’s like McNulty in The Wire running the serial killer investigation. All of a sudden everyone is coming to him with their pet projects and he has to deal with the same nonsense his bosses do.

  19. Casciuss

I would Fire Green, the Man Who assaulted a teammate

  20. vitalbumhole

Media members/fans online are more upset about what Dray did while players are more upset about it leaking. This tells me that this stuff happens WAY more often than we realize and that itā€™s usually kept internal. Not excusing anything Draymond did by any means def crossed the line big time and should be punished imo but the fact that ex & current players take more umbrage at this getting outside of the team family is telling

  21. MONSTATURKEY_420

Nah fam itā€™s a dog eat dog world, Iā€™m taking a massive payday and leaking the vid no matter what. Good on the leaker

  22. BigALep5

Draymond green should be fired immediately for this violent attack on a coworker!

  23. stonehead70

The players are not going to win this PR battle

  24. “I’d fire the entire hotel elevator’s video staff!”

  25. desertdungarees

Damn, this makes me think there is WAY more fighting in the NBA than we must think…crazy that the fucking decking Dray gave Poole is not as foul as selling the vid to TMZ. How about not physically fighting, guys?

  26. Courseheir

What’s with NBA players and being absolute morons? Constantly deflecting blame and accountability.

  27. Robinsonirish

This is some “back the blue” shit when a cop does something fucked up.

  28. 2advanced2basket

I, for one, enjoy having transparency when it comes to shit behaviour.

People donā€™t typically give a shit when private DMs and other private things get leaked and bad behaviour is exposed. Some recent examples are Adam Levine, Sarver, Rachel Nichols (although she didnā€™t even do anything wrong). Not looking to compare the severity of what all these people got caught doing but I donā€™t think anybody really gave a shit in each of these cases about act of leaking for many different reasons

  29. megasean

The players are worried because of how much bad behavior low level employees witness on the regular.
