Off Night For The Raptors | Raptors Vs Rockets Post Game Show

The Raptors starting 5 struggle again against a lacklustre Rockets team. That’s 3 games in a row the starters have not been able to start well and that usually leads to a lose. What is going wrong with the starters these last couple of games? With all of our main guys from last season, this is the last thing we expected. Hopefully, the Raps can bounce back on Sunday!

  1. @jacob gamega if ya look at josh jackson and dj wilson tonight, i think considering dj wilson only got 7 minutes total he had the better game getting 5 pts 1 rebound 1 assist and 1 steal.

if ya look at the 3 game average of both i wouldnt say josh jackson is alot better than dj wilson considering josh jackson has gotten more minutes.

    3 game average

josh jackson 7.6 pts 2 rebounds 1 assist a game, can ball handle and has higher offensive upside

dj wilson 7 pts 5 rebounds 1 assist a game. is better defensive player and rim protector and rebounder and can put up points consistently

based on objective stats i wouldnt say right off that dj wilson is the one getting cut.

all i can say is juancho hernangomez for getting a guaranteed contract has been the worse of the 3, showing why he is a journey man and has a career average of 4ppg. he has a better perimeter game than the other two but it seems he is streaky like armani brooks.

i would say dj wilson getting less minutes has been the more consistent and productive of the 3 players. we saw the consistency of dj wilson last year also.

  2. Bruh, if you think shooting is the problem, you are delusional. It’s their sets and lack of passing. Teams have figured out to stay out on the perimeter and not help too much cos nobody on the Raps can break down that initial point of contact. Drive and kick into a semi contested shot. How many actual wide open 3s were there due to the passing? In 3 games, can probably count all of them on one hand. Horrible basketball for all 3 games.

  3. Scotties trying to get his bc he's trying to be great, Gary is trying to get his bc hey if scottie can be selfish me too, Pascal is trying to get his bc no one is passing him the ball, OG trying to get his bc hey looks like we're all taking turns to get ours and that equates to selfish basketball & bad shots. Combine that with precious who has that same disposition as Gary and you have good players that play bad basketball.

Not to mention NN everybody can do everything system where players feel they have the green light to do everything on the court. Pecking orders & roles need to be established, this looks like a high school basketball team

  4. Why , why, why can't Raptors shoot 3ptrs. They are going to die on the vine this year if they don't get their act together !!! Come on guys !!! Also they were horrible on the perimeter, Houston ate them up with 3ptrs . Everytime the Raptors got it going the Rockets kill them with a 3. The Raptor management have to find a way to keep Wilson and Jackson ! Khem Birch actually looked quite good, too! Champagne and Flynn are killing themselves not staying on the floor !!

  5. @william spot on mate. What I feel they have done with so many ball handlers on the roster is that whenever it gets to their hands, the ball sticks because they feel like they need to make something happen with the ball. The ball moves a lot better when none of the starters are playing. Gary trent just doesnt fit in that starting lineup.. we need less in that starting five.. less is more!
