  1. Why are most of the fans over reacting over a pre season loss, the team is barely trying idk why people are treating this like a finals game.

  2. I don’t think Barnes should be playing PG. just because he can it doesn’t mean you have him playing as PG full time like he was in the last game. It puts too much on him to constantly defend smaller guy’s that’s quicker than he is. Playing him at the PG position sometimes is fine but making him a PG at his size is pointless. He should be in the post man handling players and helping on the boards at his size. I mean Giannis will handle the ball at the point sometimes but he’s not being used strictly as a PG. it’s like when Nurse had McCaw playing PG just because he can. Just because a player can play that position it doesn’t mean you want them there handling the ball that much.

  3. Raps have criss crossed Canada and the US multiple times jet lag is a real thing not to worry about them.

  4. Ppl jus needa Chill on Scottie. Hes very raw an needs time specially offensively. Ppl jus mad cuz they really thought he should be the number 1 in his second yr an now they feelin stupid during pre season. Lol!

  5. Delano Banton 20 minutes 14 points 4 assist 2 turn overs looking good, banton should be a back up pg. Trade Flynn. I'm getting a banton jersey.

  6. Starters are just trying out things, like scottie running point, personally rather him handle the ball in the half court and play Bully ball.

  7. Like I’ve been saying for like 3 years now I’m all for developing players.. but u need an even balance… we need guys that can help the team now and guys we’re developing for the future. You can’t have a team full of developing players… there’ll be too much inconsistency in how we play.. and we’re seeing that now! Bobby and Massi needs to stop the nonsense and bring in actual talent that can help us now!!

  8. @benrogers for less minutes a game DJ Wilson is more consistent and productive than josh jackson, something to think about for guys at end of bench coming in with not many minutes. rebounding and defence i think dj wilson is better and he can shoot the 3.

ideally trade khem birch and malachi flynn to utah for nikeil alexander walker who is not doing well, clears a roster spot so they can keep josh jackson and dj wilson

  9. I am not worried for Scottie and the starts Nba chev said some interesting things in his video and We have to see how they play when the actual season starts 😊 Raptors still top 3 in the east. Raptors are hitting the wall The wall is something that teams hit in the season like Boston and golden state .

  10. I have been a Raptors fan for the last few years, but have to be realistic – from the way they have been playing (even from last season), I'll be surprised if they even get to the playoffs. Yes, it sounds a bit negative but judging from the way they have been playing, there are three main issues, besides minor ones: (1) Terrible free-throws. (2) No one is reliable beyond the arc shooting. (3) when attacking, and being guarded, they try way to hard to score the 2 points instead of finding an open team-mate to score. Has anyone else notice these ? May be just me.

  11. Scottie is already passive as a player. Making him PG will just make him less aggressive when scoring in my opinion. Make him figure out his offensive game more before making him PG

  12. The problem is the fact this team can’t shoot three’s. The advantage for a three point shooting team is that the key is not packed and people like Scottie and Siakam can operate. We need three point shooting. Also Fred is going to be a problem. There is something off with him.

  13. 🤦‍♂️ the scottie overreacting is ridiculous atm hes trying to expand his role and hes gonna work through this stuff in the long run its good for him to learn now and not when it really matters

  14. These guys will be fine, coaching matters, and I'm sure Nick didn't do much game planning for these exhibition games which probably effected their efficiency to some extent.

  15. I notice in the game with Houston the Raptors when guarding their man many of them move back… imo, the Raptors must stay confident, be a team player and not always me me me…

  16. Hey Chev, what do you think about my assessment of Scotties improvement arc this season.… I’m concerned about his these two areas of his game illness they are corrected immediately:

    1. I don’t think his shooting is at the level to what I saw in the summer video clips. Whoever is teaching him to shoot is not doing a good job. He looks really, really bad. His feet are too wide apart and he is not balanced. It is even more evident at the foul line where he seems to be guiding the ball rather than shooting it.
    2. Playing Scottie in the NBA at the point guard spot for long stretch of time is a mistake. Too much responsibility now. He will be good but it will cost the team his improved scoring and aggression. Raps please stop and reduce this responsibility on him. He will break mentally as the turnover pile up. Let me know what you think

  17. So, the announcers are saying the three ball is not dropping because they are rusty. What a load of shat. They have been back in the gym for 3 months under the tutelage of Rico Haynes. A pro doesn’t lose muscle memory for that long. The three shooting and defending against the three put us in the basement last year and it is continuing again. Bo Cruz will not give us the answer. Houston killed us with their three. How come they weren’t rusty ?

  18. Bruh I love Scottie but from what I’ve seen so far is that he took a step BACK! it seems like he improved in no category but it’s only pre season so I still got hope he will be our modern day Magic Johnson 😮

  19. Scotties handle isn't good enough. He has trouble in iso situations when he has to rely on dribbling to get around

  20. It's PRESEASON, quit your spazzing and over analyzing! Take stock 1 month in when there is a REASONABLE amount of MEANINGFUL basketball to evaluate. Right now, they can get blown out by 30 points to Utah or lose to a crappy overseas team and it WON'T MEAN A THING!

  21. Who cares? let's just tank to a 10win season and pair Scottie with Wembanyama.. that would mean 4-5 championships guaranteed in the next 10-12yrs..

  22. That extra weight Scottie added in the summer isn't really helping him. He does look a lot slower compared to last year. I think Scottie needs to decide if he will play as PG or SF. If he is playing as PG, then he should be lean and fast. To me, he is more effective as a SF. He should be playing closer to the hoop so that he has opportunities for put backs and rebounds, that's really his strength, not shooting from behind the arc.

  23. The first 7 or so games of the season are going to be really tough games
and the Raptors' starters need to be ready to perform at a very high level
    right out of the gate.
I'm not confident that they can do that.

Maybe the Raptors' starters are just coasting and think that in the first game
of the regular season they can suddenly turn it on and start hitting all those
    shots they have been missing.

Sort of like a driver heading along the highway onramp at 8 km/hr thinking that as
he changes lanes onto the highway he can instantly switch to 100 km/hr..

I'm not so sure of that strategy.
Seems to me it's a good idea to get in the zone of making shots during pre-season
so that by the regular season it just comes naturally.

Imagine a curler or baseball pitcher or dart thrower or bowler or archer
showing very little accuracy in warm up games.
I don't think they would be thinking "That's ok. Once the real competion starts
I'll suddenly become much more accurate".

I think that all of these sports people would want to build up their accuracy in
practice and warm up competion so that when the real competion began
they were already in the zone of being accurate.

  24. One of the regulars on ESPN NBA tiday was asked the other day which NBA player she thought would have a break out season.
    She said emphatically Scottie Barnes.
    We will see.

  25. The Raptors starters, so far this pre season, don't move the ball around on offense & get bullied in the paint on defense. The second unit guys pass the ball around a lot more on offense using the offense to predicate shots while the starters most Siakam & FVV let the ball stick when they touch it. Thus when the other starters finally touch the ball they tend to look for their shots instead of moving the ball around & utilizing the offense to get a shot, to score. Also, Action Jackson deserves a spot on the roster…Hernangomez not so much. Everyone wants to write off Flynn as the back up pg- he takes care of the ball while Banton is a turnover waiting to happen especially since he carries the ball a lot. The refs can call a carry on him on any possession.

  26. Benrogers you should make a cut Juancho Hernangomez petition and get signatures and mail it to masai before preseason ends so he knows what the fanbase wants
