Marcus Smart talked about how often fiery moments happen behind the scenes at practice and reacted to Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole at practice last week. Smart said Green made a mistake as a leader and that it’ll take some professionalism to move on, as is always the case when things get physical between teammates. Smart also discussed his ankle, oblique and other physical ailments from the summer, and said he and the other guards of the team have been more involved in screening.

Made a mistake? What a stupid thing to say. Punching another man in the face wasn't a mistake. Can we stop with the dumb excuses?
Poole wasn't hurt and isn't even pressing charges. Draymond's not going to jail. But we cannot keep making excuses for bad behavior. Especially when the person is a 32 year old multi millionaire.
A mistake is when you stumble and fall. A mistake is when you bump into someone prior to seeing that person. A mistake is not when you keep acting rogue over and over again even after several warnings fostering you to change your behavior. Doing that only makes you an inept individual.
