Steve Kerr’s message to Youngsters:”this is not normal”

Finally some accountability from coach. This nonsense about it being normal was weird when players were out there reacting as if it doesn’t happen often

Dray is in some deep shit right now yikes

This and the looney quote from last night are very telling. Dray has his work cut out for him

Only in sports can a guy Assualt his coworker and not get fired

Full quote: “I just want the new people here to know this is not normal. All the times Draymond has punched someone in the face during practice before, we have kept it in-house as we like to do. It’s not normal for there to a leaked video like this. But don’t worry we’re going to fix the leak situation.” /s

Thank you, I hated the whole “I have seen 20 fights in 32 year career”. Jailblazzers are not the standard we should be going by.

This can be interpreted in many ways. The immediate way is that it’s not normal to have someone come up to you baiting a shove and then getting punched in the face. Another more pessimisstic interpretation is that “this is not normal [to have camera footage release]” or “this is not normal [to have such a big media and public outrage to internal team affairs]”. Really it’s up to the person interpreting.

  7. Honestly Steve was on some bullshit before. I get why he would want to say those things but in reality it serves as deflecting from the what’s actually important.

“Y’all clear never played sports, y’all are soft, y’all are praying on the downfall of the team”

Yeah Kerr isn’t fucking around with this situation

Here’s a different perspective: Draymond sold the team out to Klutch sports. The person who leaked the video isn’t the bad person here, we should see them as a whistle-blower. It just shows to me that he did this to make drama & an article. He instigated this shit to get clicks and views. He sold out the Dubs by doing this. Draymond signing with Klutch changed him. He betrayed the team, he betrayed us, Dubnation, too. We trusted him, we believed in him even if he’s a bit of a hot head.

Well, you can’t even begin to unpack how messed up it is to realize that a guy who is supposed to be your brother-in-arms turned his back on his own teammates and sold you out to the media for clicks. That whistle-blower was right to show us that Draymond did this for drama + attention. It was 100% a business decision on Dray that backfired badly. What happened was unwarranted and unnecessary. Poole did not deserve to be in the middle of all this.

Maybe Trey Young is onto something, maybe Dray IS trying to go to LA to kiss more of LeBron’s ass.

Kerr is fantastic but this is a much better take then his take last week where he said these were not that unusual.

Does he mean that it is not normal to expect that from Draymond? Or that the situation is not normal in the NBA?

  14. GhostfrmthaA

yeah, as supporters we want the situation to die down but I really don’t know if that can happen until one of the participants is no longer on the team.

But…but…but…kerr went out of his way to tell us just how normal and ordinary it was. Which is it, Steve?
