It’s been so difficult to watch him this preseason. He’s struggling in nearly every way. His decision making is still the worst part of his game, but he seems to have regressed in terms of his offensive instincts. He’s been out of position on offense and defense regularly, a non-factor rebounder, doesn’t seem to understand what his role is supposed to be and is turning the ball over constantly. He seems incapable of making a decision without dribbling the ball 5 or 6 times, which is tough because he doesn’t seem to be a very competent ball handler at this level. I’m really really hoping something clicks, but watching McGowens come in and immediately seem to understand the pacing of the game has me discouraged about Bouk’s future.

He’s obviously still young so I’m not trying to say he has no hope, but it’s been very very difficult to watch him on the court.

Good write up OP. Bouk has definitely been struggling through preseason, he just doesn’t look like he has any confidence in his game right now. It seems like Cliff believes in him though and he’s actively working with him watching film so that’s good. But yeah he needs to find his offensive flow desperately, it’s not looking good right now.
I think he needs confidence and work his way back into form after having surgery and a short off-season of training. We still don’t know what he can do but this season should give us an idea
