That play by Castellanos for the second out of the ninth was the game saver in my opinion. If he doesn't make that catch, D'Arnaud comes to the plate with Contreras on first. That would've been a scary thought since he was two for four with a homer and three RBIs up until that final at bat. Nice snag, Nick!!!!
Castellanos 30 million seemed like we over paid! Well he showed today why the team gave him that big contract!

Topper putting Brogden in with a 6 run lead was a test knowing that he had that buffer. Brogden failed the test.
Eflin has GOT to stop being called out there to close. This guy struggled 3 games in a row now. When is this team going to realize he isn't closing material? He is a middle relief kinda pitcher that even can maybe open some games by throwing 2-3 innings. Closers have a certain energy & intimidation factor that they bring to the mound… Eflin just looks flat out there. Dominguez has that positive energy plus he has experience in that role and wasn't he an All Star a few years back? I get the fact that he's been up and down but you just got to go with the Hot hand and Dominguez is OUR GUY. I would have lost it if we would have lost today after the effort our Offense put in just for one guy to give it up in the end because he couldn't get 3 simple outs. I have seen enough. Right now the fans are with you Rob Thompson.. dont blow it.

This is the team Philadelphia knew use could be 💯 💪 Castellanos easily just had his best game as a Phillie and so far in 3 playoff games on the road you found 3 different ways to win. Your 2 Aces we're exactly that! We made a 9th inning comeback in st.louis, we held a 2 to 0 nail bitter to win game 2 and it looks to have been the turning point for Sir Anthony. That 3-2 count to Goldschmidt was it . He don't swing it's ball 4 and things could have went downhill in a flash but he did swing and than he got Nolan Arenado and than today dominated the braves 1-6 hitters in 2 unbelievable innings of work. Eflin been shaky in all 3 9th innings now. Might be time to move him closer to the 6th or 7th inning. And MVP Bryce looks to be on his way.. I am a Philly fan however so unfortunately I have to tell you even know we're up 1-0 and won the first series.. don't bring Brogdon into another playoff game IDC if it's 14-0 in the 9th with 2 out and an 0-2 count with a batter batting .001
At the end of the day, a win is a win

Great win by this team with Wheeler tomorrow. But I saw Eflin was leaking oil even in the Cardinals series. They got lucky today, but eventually he's gonna cost them a game. They gotta find someone else else and get him outta there.

Ranger Suarez was really bad. 6 walks is unforgivable. He escaped 2 bases loaded situations. He almost lost the game. I would be scared to start him again.
