  1. Mark Shapiro has failed to establish a winning culture in his 7 years here. He's taken ages & has not produced a winning team or culture. That is entirely unacceptable. He's the architect, this is on him.

  2. Bo will likely become one of the games best SS….but he's got a couple years to go yet…Jays will be unable to keep him and Vladdy after FE. Most GMs will recognize this, he has value now, imagine the rental you could get for him. I love Bo, and recognize that he carried the team thru September…. but if we want a deep playoff run next year Bo is the best asset to trade.

  3. The Leaf's have become a Social Club. Everyone there is a member you don't throw your members out. There are teams in Pro Sport that do everything they can to ensure they are never a Team with Members. They stress that it is a Business with earners. He is suggesting that Blue Jays (Rogers sports Club) are going in that direction. Example Bo Bichette, cost BJ the game, running from the infield to do some one else's job, along with many other errors in the stretch.

  4. Everybody is being respectful and diplomatic, but the Jays looked like bumbling fools with the mistakes they made

  5. So Bo could rightfully be traded because he is undisciplined, but as part of the youth group that came from the minors, his production is not something that could not be replaced; But ahh he fits in so nicely with the Club Members. With the TML it drives me crazy to see Nylander and Kerfoot make plays like they are playing shinny at the out door rink, they are Members in the Club, they fit in so nicely. Besides the RINK and the STADIUM are full every game.

  6. He's overeating to get the audience going like suckers. He's an idiot and a puppet told what to say. Wake the fuck up people. This world is not what it seems

  7. Something the Jays needed was more veteran leadership in the clubhouse. Someone like Don Baylor was when he helped lead three different teams in three consecutive years to league championships.
Last offseason I hoped the Jays would sign Eduardo Escobar, since he's a great clubhouse guy. Someone like Nelson Cruz would have been good, but that would have clogged the DH slot and blocked Kirk.

  8. The individual act that Vladimir Guerrero put on after the Jays clinched home field was very immature, most people who are interested in winning it ALL would refrain from giving an opposition more incentive to want to win when playing you. Unfortunately, Vladi didn't go on to prove that it was HIS HOUSE. The Great Boxer ALI was one of the few who could deliver that level of braggadocios but he was in an individual Sport.

  9. Sid is quite correct. There is nothing to digest. When the blues jays had a curtain call for Hernandez. Manager has to control the situation better. It was the 5th not the 8 or 9th. Sid is more than right. The manager should be gone. He should be handling the club house better. Springer knows better. Like on the American President. They need serious people to take care of these serious matters. Schneider your 15 minutes are up. Good bye. Gary Maple.

  10. Agree with Sid 100%. To me he's exactly right, hit the nail on the head. Enough of the clown show, with home run jackets, with these guys thinking they've accomplished something, when they literally haven't accomplished a thing. Im sorry, but it's about winning, not dancing after a home run, and putting on jackets, and acting like you're the best thing in baseball when you're clearly not. Vladdy talking about this season will be the "movie" and last years was a trailer. I know the core is mostly young, but these guys need to grow up quick. The thing that really rubs me the wrong way with Vladdy is he acts like he's a 20 year vet with I don't know how many world series rings to his name, he carries himself like he's literally Albert Pujols or something. These guys need to humble themselves and honestly grow up, because at this point they are underachieving losers, whether we like it or not. That's just the reality of the situation.

  11. I know I am old and old school but I have the same complaint with the Leafs and the Jays. They celebrate everything too much. A goal and a home run are great but they should not be celebrated like they are a win. They can lead to a win but winning is the thing to celebrate. Winning is what is important because wins lead to championships and that is what counts. Forget the home run jacket and the fist bumps with the bench. Get your head back in the game and do it again. Until this mindset changes they will not be champions. They are not paid to have fun they are paid to win. Just win baby.

  12. 7 years, zero accomplishments. No playoff series wins , not even a friggin game , no division, nothing. I’m telling you , Shapiro and Atkins are grifters. Wake up people and demand better.

  13. Maybe the Blue Jays could act like major league ball players and not children in little league, quit with seeds and pranks in the dug out, maybe Valdy can grow up and stop his childish crap, maybe act like professionals in the dug out. This team is a freaking bunch of immature children during the game, maybe a little focus on winning and less on fun, I mean they need to grow up and play ball especially during a play off game.

  14. There is so much baseball throughout the season that, just trying to watch as much Blue Jays as I can means there's not much time for following other teams I don't root for very closely. The playoffs are when I usually get closer to the other teams, watch games that don't have the Jays in them. That loss was so embarrassing that I have avoided non-Jays focused baseball media (which I usually binge on at this time of year), haven't watched a game since and don't know if I will. Maybe that's a weird reaction, but ugh, just need to distance myself from it all.

I'm not gonna pretend to know what needs to be done, but even though the ending really sucked, this was still a 92 win team. Something as simple as Kikuchi working out better could have even won the division.

  15. I have another comment. This happened because the Manager didn't have control of his clubhouse. There isn't curtain calls in the 5th inning. That looks really bad know. I've always liked Sid because he makes sense. Even if it's not popular.

  16. Blue jays are a total joke. They lose the movie was a horror movie. Too much hype and no heart on team. How can you lose 2 games back to back to Seattle on your HOME field. Totally unacceptable. Big changes should come.

  17. 'Hardening coming from failures' is a nice sentiment. However if that were true, the Leafs would be made of concrete by now. Not all people are wired to be serious and hard. I don't know that it's something everyone can learn. I think there needs to be a shakeup. Not an overhaul, but a couple of meaningful pieces need to be moved out for other meaningful pieces.

  18. I think the culture needs to be drastically altered. No curtain calls except for milestones. No jokes in the dugout when you're losing. No admiring your hit, you run hard out of the box EVERY SINGLE TIME and you DON'T take any play for granted. Also, if you play lazy, you will be benched. The game Bo and Vlad got caught on lazy baserunning, I don't care if you're the face of this franchise, YOU'RE OUT.

  19. Sign jay killer Santana after the playoffs…he is a free agent. Trade teoscar or Lourdes for pitching…Rodriguez took off after he joined mariners….

  20. Need to look back at last offseason, and even the trade deadline.
We needed BP help and another solid starter and got Kikuchi and nothing really for the bullpen except Bass and Pop at deadline.
    What eventually sunk this team?
A 8-1 implosion from the BP.
Management never plugged clear holes and if anything Atkins goes but I think he gets 1 more year and they shake things up by dealing Kirk, Gurriel Jr, Biggio, Kikuchi.
Bo will be on a very short leash at SS and possibly moved to 2B and even possibly traded if they get a good return for him.
Could be a retool for 2023

  21. I am tires of the clowning around in the dugout and the "barrio" and the lack of effort running up the first base line or admiring the baseball when it is hit. This culture has to be changed and we need a manager that will whip these boys into men.

  22. I don't think that shipping people out is the answer. You don't move talent because young kids are still learning. What does need to happen, is someone has to kick them in the ass with all the nonsense that goes on. Especially Vladdy as he's the ring leader of it. They're to worried about HR jackets, dumb ass dances after HR's, and ice bucket showers after every game. Just play the damn game, and focus for 9 innings and act like pro's for God sake, then maybe you'll get the results. Look at the Yankees, they cut all that nonsense out. No dumb dances after a HR's. Hell…. they didn't even celebrate the night they beat us to win the division. What did the Jays do when we clinched on a day off? We had a dumb non-organic staged celebration for winning a wild card spot. George Bell would have kicked all their ass' if his team mates acted this way.

  23. I love it. Finally someone said the truth. Unless a major shakeup and put some serious sportsmanship into a team, you will not win a championship. It is good to have fun, but it’s not going to win the ultimate goal.

  24. Sid is not out to lunch…it’s time for Vladdy to be a leader, not a cheer leader. Lose the home run jacket and the peanuts. Act like you have been there before. Get some killer instinct

  25. I don't think they will win anything unless the star players on the team grow up. I've had it with the over celebrating. it's embarrassing. Vladdy pushing Teo out for a curtain call that early in the game was just asking the baseball gods to smack them down. Vladdy spent the whole year pulling outside pitches on the ground. Bo is so stupidly overaggressive at the plate it's sickening. you don't need to be 0 and 2 in most of your at bats. here comes a spinner a foot outside. swing batter. Teo dogged it on so many play I want him gone. who makes lack of effort plays in 3 out of 4 games in a playoff push? not running hard to 2nd in that game is unforgiveable. they all had numerous lack of effort offenses during the year. run hard to first? you wish. they are like spoiled rich frat boys who listen to no one. I'm as diehard as it gets and finding myself disliking these guys. shake it up. at the very least grow a pair and put these guys in their place
