I'm watching this after the nets made the bucks look incompetent. It's preseason so it doesn't matter but the talent and ability is clearly there for the nets

In that 17 game stretch, Embiid actually ended up playing in 9 of the 17 games. Ben told a rosy story in JJ Redick's podcast that leaves out quite a bit of the details. It also leaves out that we played maybe, 3 playoff teams in those 17 games(the Cavs, the Bucks and the Heat series.). And yeah they could shoot, but they couldn't really attack off of closeouts, so what you can do is you can run Seth Curry/Joe Harris off the line and force them to make plays.
The Nets have the crazy Offensive potential no doubt if they could just man up and all play the whole season together stay healthy by eating right and proper conditioning to minimize injury risk. KD Kyrie Joe Harris Seth Curry are certainly a bucket if left open behind the line. SWISH. but like you said they would be a liability on D…. They would all need to also commit to getting better and staying committed on Defense all Game so peak condition required. IMO they won't actually become a real threat because I don't think they are all in as a team and you have to be all in. They're not even half way in from what we've seen in the offseason.
I think kyrie would be best suited for 1 year contracts, that way he's forced to play for his interests and not the team's. Which is what kyrie does best anyway, problem solved 😂

They sit fire bro they lit up the bucks shot was crazy and the bucks were playing playing. Ben had a slow start but u have so much fire power everywhere and Ben has already said he loves defense and seeing guys are avaliable as long as guys are avaliable it will always work. Idk kd and KY how much they be avaliable. But the biggest thing for Ben is just pacing and motivation he doesn't really have that dog in him he is very soft. But they do need he proactively on the floor defensively and assisting. I mean has pass to clackston made a bunch of weight

I think what bothers me the most about Brooklyn Nets discourse is that the casual NBA fan and honestly even most of the media always seems to give them the benefit of the doubt year after year. Somehow, they're always in the contender tier because of the hypothetical Brooklyn Nets instead of the actual current state of the team. And that bothers me extra this year because Miami is somehow not a genuine contender to a lot of people but Brooklyn is?? Like what???
