Great showing by the Pacers rookie. Was attacking the rim all night, got to the line 12 times (11-12) and looks a lot more composed than a rookie should look. Hasn’t had a bad game all preseason. Might be a sleeper for ROY.

Trying not tonget too hyped but this kid is already playing like year 3 PG.
He wasn’t even just having a hot shooting night, he had some really nice finishes and looked like he’d been in the league for a while. That backcourt is gonna be a problem

If he gets more confidence in his jump shot watch out. He’s so efficient driving.
OMG I wanted Mathurin to fall to the Spurs so badly. A backcourt of the future with Haliburton and Mathurin is def something to be excited about. And then you add in the Jalen Smith resuscitation and my own bias as someone who was a Sooner when Buddy Hield was there, I hope the Pacers win a lot of games this season. Their fans deserve it. And I say that for no other reason than those described above.

Going to have a large role this season and a good point guard helping get him the ball.
Tbh? I’d probably place him 3rd in ROY likelihood to win, behind Murray and Banchero. Smith has a longer way to go and houston needs a PG

I’m very high on him, one of my three contenders for ROTY next to Paolo and Keegan. Potential all-star in the future too, IMO.
