  1. Short answer no it's the preseason and at least to me it's obvious he's coasting. As for the weight I don't think that's a factor as his body looks like he put it on correctly. Also Stewart should not be starting in the front court with Bojan. That lineup defensively is terrible.

  2. You think he can switch the light on just like that? The added strength as you say takes time to adjust. What better way than to use the preseason? I truly doubt he hits 30 first game and if he does I will personally apologize to you and the fans because I am concerned.

  3. Kareem, "Everyone was Kung-Fu Fighting", Abdul Jabbar sunk those (Hue Hollins gifted) game-winning free throws at the end of Game 6.

  4. Cade's definitely not going to be off-ball as much as he has been in the preseason. Cade's been helping his teammates get more opportunities to score and create for themselves imo. Great video Ku

  5. i strongly believe that the plan is to keep Cade fresh and injury free to start the reg. season that is why he is not being super aggressive. his shots aren't missing badly. since he is stronger maybe he needs to tweak his release so he doesn't put too much force or spin on the ball. turnovers will improve, he needs to play with all the new faces and learn everyone's style and spots. i expect the Pistons to struggle in the first 20-30 games before we see some chemistry and things start to click.

i have no concern whatsoever. 2 things that are holding this team back are being so young and having DC as head coach, which is by design since Casey is better at player development than actual coaching.

i think Casey will be around until the Pistons lose their lottery pick which will probably be in 2024.

  6. Cade playing off ball so Ivey can get a head start on running the offense so once the season starts, Jaden will be able to make a quicker transition to lead ball handler situations and better decisions and we will start seeing 3 guard lineups. also having THREE ball handlers and playmakers gives the lineup many options

  7. Braxton Key will probably get some backup 4 mins off the bench. Bey and Bojan could be staggered also until some of the other guys come back like Noel, Knox and Diallo.

all Duren will be asked to do is get a feel for the NBA game and crash the boards. most of his PPG will be offensive putbacks or lobs and his defense will be solid sooner than later.

  8. I'm not concerned about Cade. He has already proven he's one of the top young players in the league! While I'd love to see his perimeter shot drop more, I'm watching a guy who's treating the exhibition season like an exhibition. Cade is giving his teammates opportunities to demo what they've developed while also showcasing his improved strength. We've seen Cade absorb contact better off the dribble. We've seen Cade initiate contact on his shots and still play through against bigs. We've watched Cade guard in the post in a capable fashion. Those are huge positives. Also, like a leader, he has given Ivey and Saddiq and others chances to create off the dribble. There's literally no reason to get in an uproar, panic, or jump ship on the franchise player. Cade is THAT dude.

  9. I kind of agree with Greg Waddell with SleepersMedia in the sense that it looks like Cade added weight but it wasn't "all muscle". Some of it was the wrong kind of weight and he doesn't look as fluid out there as he did at the end of last year.

  10. It is my hope that Cade works on his shot so he will have a better shot going forward using improved Bogdan type mechanics. We are clearly going to have another terrible season so he should fix it now so next year we can be ready with another high draft pick in the fold which will bolster our chances at getting a true superstar. Yes I'm not sold on becomimg a true superstar but Ivey might have that potential with how quick he is.

  11. Stop it. It's pre-season. If you want to talk about the pre-season take a look at Hayes outburst. That has a chance of being way more significant.

  12. As a pistons fan it’s understandable to be concerned about his performance. But let’s not forget it’s only “preseason”. I hate preseason it’s unnecessary. Look what happened to Marvin. Cade is ok so relax 😂

  13. To not be concerned about Cade or anybody else on the Pistons is whats wrong. 0_3 Pre_season So typical of all Detroit pro_teams. They sucked in G_league too. Do tell me not concerned.
