Do they think Warriors are a play in team again

  2. spambandit

The Jazz blow up their team for a rebuild and are still projected to make the play-in over the Lakers. That’s wild lol

  3. OldOrder

This is an objectively correct ranking, lets just start the playoffs on Tuesday.

  4. SeanRodrieguez

If the Jazz start winning that many games Danny Ainge is gonna start wandering onto the court during games and pulling players off with a hook.

Are we still listening to 538 after the countless number of times their models have messed their pants, both inside and outside of sports?

  6. nowhathappenedwas

They still have Derrick White as the second best player on the Celtics.

They love Bones Hyland. His +2.1 O-RAPTOR projection is the same as Jamal Murray and Jordan Poole. It’s better than Zion, Middleton, Herro, DeRozan, and Maxey.

  7. IMakeMyOwnLunch

Morey believes any team with a 5% chance of winning the title should be “all in.”

According to 538, that means 11 teams should be all in this year!

I’m very ready for the most exciting season of NBA in maybe a decade or more.

  8. Panik_Switch

Idk how accurate that’ll be but I really hope the Jazz don’t make the play-in

I will take one “Nuggets in the Finals,” please!

That being said, I’m just excited to watch our healthy roster this year. Having Murray and MPJ back is going to make the games so fun to watch.

    Top teams in each conference

    West:

    1. Clippers

    2. Warriors

    3. Suns

    4. Nuggets

    5. Grizzlies

    6. Lakers

    7. Mavericks

    8. Timberwolves

    East:

    1. Bucks

    2. Sixers

    3. Celtics

    4. Nets

    5. Heat

    6. Hawks

    7. Cavs

    8. Bulls

These are the definite top teams of each conference, and will continue to be barring injury/a major player returning from injury.

Stop reading all these clickbait, obese sports journalists articles.

Dont know what their systems issue with the pels is but according to their player projection pretty much all our players peaked last season (except for Zion who peaked 2 seasons ago lol)

  12. TheConboy22

No way do the Suns go sub 50 wins this year.

  13. Gonza6EUW

    Hawks in 2nd? LMAO
    We are clearly 1st seed.

  14. Konfliction

I put a pretty big bet a month back on the Nets not making the playoffs. Numbers like this with the 66% probability of making it in make me think there’s a very slim chance that bet could actually pay out lol

  15. juicednyah

Still seems like the minute projections are a bit suspect. Just picking on the Lakers since everybody knows them, but why would they only give their 3rd best player (Beverley) 14 minutes a game? Same thing happened last year with the Warriors in reverse where they said they’d give Wiseman a ton of minutes and his negative rating made the team look bad.

  16. furyousferret

I’m disappointed they didn’t pick us as a lottery team….

  17. draculas-shaggyballs

How the fuck are the Mavs more likely to win the titles/makes the finals than Warriors and Clippers? That team is one half-season injury to Luka away from the Wembanyama sweepstakes.

  18. n8bitgaming

C’mon Pistons, let’s go for Wembanyama!

  19. souttous

538 models are trash and Nate Silver fantasizes about making love to Hilary Clinton

  20. LevyShorts

    So you’re telling me there’s a chance!

  21. GentlemanHere

How the hell do you have Jazz above the Lakers?

  22. thebigmanhastherock

They gave the warriors a less than 1% chance of winning the finals last year and I think rated them as a marginal playoff team. I think something is wrong with this model.

  23. I don’t understand how the Bulls are projected to be worse than the Hornets and the Knicks.
