Ant is not Jordan lol, maybe some day. It seems all Ant shoots are threes and layups. I’ve been waiting for way more shot variety. What does Booker do? How about Jaylen Nowell even? I don’t think its Finch, I mean we get the analytics but this so-called rule doesn’t seem to be followed by any of the star players right now. It seems to many I’m guessing that Ant doesn’t seem to have the feel for this. Most star players right now typically get buckets based on what the defense gives you but also get what they can take, from anywhere on the floor…and the closer to the rim, your percentages go way up. If nothing else you are less predictable.

I don’t love that Ant quote. It sounds like he wants to settle for mid range instead of forcing his way to the bucket or working on his range from 3. After 2 years of Ant though I think he is probably just having a bit of fun an not actually that serious about setting for mid range shots.
In the modern game being able to punish with a mid range shouldn’t be a go to. He can use it to open up the rim and thats what a good 3 level scorer does. When they give you the mid range punish them and then when the defense takes it away punish them again.

I’ve kinda wanted to see more mid-range shots from both Ant and DLo, and now I know why I’m not seeing them.
