  1. Russ off the bench is HIS best opportunity to EARN a starting PG spot in free agency next summer. I hope it goes well for Russ … and the Lakers.

  2. Russ just needs to be gone completely, not just to the bench. Rarely does the entire second unit come in at the same time for the starters. When Russ comes off the bench, he will most likely still be playing with some starters, so how is he really leading the second unit? Even off the bench, it's still the same turnovers, the same bricks off the side of the backboard, the same not joining huddles, etc. Please get rid of him.

  3. What wonder if darvin will have a say on who is going to be the group he heads in his unit. I do think Russ should get minutes at the start, mainly pairing with defensive juggernaut.

  4. If Anthony Davis not playing tonight. How you would if it worked or

  5. I'm sure a lot of people would love this but your third player coming off the bench won't work trade him and end this

  6. This don't move the needle for me. If there was a trade that make us better then yes. But same team, same mentality.

  7. Lakers haven't learned anything over these losing years. Defense and team chemistry are what wins championships now, including there last. Won't matter who you trade for if they can't play team basketball

Get held and turner in as soon as possible. Let them have a season to build chemistry and go into the playoffs knowing to play as a team. Shorten key players minutes allowing them to play harder.

  8. No big deal. Just another tool for a coach to use. Steph Curry came back from injury, and he came off the bench. The sky didn't fall. There isn't anything big about this. Just another line-up. The Lakers didn't start Jones or Bryant with AD in the last game. Do you really think if the Wolves had both Towns and Gobert on the floor Ham wasn't going to start Jones or Bryant? I mean, good coaches try to prepare for all possibilities.

  9. This is the move that make lakers a serious championship contenders this season. LETS GOOOO

  10. This is like forcing a man or a woman that's incompatible to be with you. Shyt won't work so let him go…

  11. Russel got benched in one 4th quarter and the next game he has lower back tightness, he deleted his Instagram post regarding LA. Spoke out abt the coach, Frank on exit interview, fired his agent, showed at Hams, press conference, sat away from LBJ and AD during the LA s summer league game, sat away from them again in that preseason game; all in street clothes, didn't want to huddle and now benching you think it's gonna work? This is the exact drama that the media wants. It will not work with a disgruntled multi millionaire player.
