Interesting take. Obviously they have a better understanding of what goes on behind the scenes in NBA practices and the general accept culture and all that. It would be interesting to get their opinion from a podcast from a parallel universe had Poole ended up brain dead and see if they are harping on the same sort of culture aspect.
It really seems like this is being talked about like it’s commonplace. If that’s the case I hope Poole absolutely sucker punches the f*** out of Draymond during an NBA post game after they get knocked out of the playoffs and calls out any hypocrisy if he gets fined or chastised at all.

KG and Pierce not looking at each other bothers me more than LeBron pretending to get a haircut during every episode of the shop

Haha I love KG energy man.

That punch was definitely not due from practices so they really should stop sugar coating shit

Rondo and Ray needs to be here to complete the Celtics reunion!

Can’t wait until poole absolutely rocks Draymond in the middle of a back to back on a random week in January you know because *it happens so often*

This has been my take all along. I’m sure plently of fights happen in practice but I’m assuming there is like a build up to it. Maybe there was a hard foul and then some retaliation and you get tangled together. This was just out of nowhere and one guy instigating everything.

this guys are LOUD. even at the lowest volume.

I might be reading into this but when KG said the second group comes back cocky looking for their payday in pretty sure he almost name drops Tony Allen.
He goes “T…” and then says he’s not going to say any names.
Just interesting if it is him

I think there’s some behavior behind the cameras with basketball that shouldn’t happen. Don’t care if it’s considered soft or not to say so. Seeing is believing. Fine, sports are intense and that’s understandable, but come on, punching someone out of nowhere is not right. Maybe the “real” world is different from basketball, but I think it’s perfectly fine to want a change in that behavior without being super dramatic. Kids look up to a lot of these guys.

This was probably the most informative discussion we’ve had on the matter. Pierce did a great job bringing up some key aspects, so they pretty much covered all sides to this.
Particularly enjoyed that last part about how second unit guys can get a bit ahead of themselves after winning a chip, but it’s part of the team leader’s role to deal with it the right way.
