[Letourneau] Bob Myers on Draymond’s contract situation: “Draymond’s in a great spot. He’s got a player option. … It’s a great position for a player to be in. You control your destiny. … I imagine he’ll have a fantastic year. I think he will. He’s got a lot on the line.”

That very last bit is an interesting choice of words.

He’s in such a great spot, he got away with something most people would go to jail for.

Who’s gonna ask him why they signed a dude accused of multiple rapes?

  4. constantlymat

That sounds terminal for Draymond’s future in GS.

i don’t think he’s got a lot on the line

teams aren’t going to sign Draymond because he’s this amazing offensive player

they’ll sign him because they know he’s like a walking top 5 defense who at the very least on offense will do whatever is asked of him and is a very smart ball mover

This is awesome. He’s basically telling Dray to shut the fuck up and make all NBA first team.

“I can’t imagine how embarrassing this must be for Draymond.” Bob Myers

Bob Myers with a message for Draymond. Good stuff.

He could have a great year, and I’d still let him walk

Klutch gonna give him the max on the Lakers

He is basically saying that draymond should be happy with the contract he has, and if not then take his ass somewhere else.

“trust me bro, extensions are overrated. Player options are where it’s at.”

  13. califournya

He’s 100% not getting a max contract, too old and doesn’t score enough for them to justify the tax increase. Plus his all his controversy.

Myers just stated the obvious. Draymond controls his destiny if he can control his emotions

That’s some solid low key prove it or lose it motivation lol

Prb makes most sense from Green’s POV to have a great year, opt out, then sign with a team that can give him more money than GS now they handed out Poole and Wigs huge deals.

Would fucking LOVE to see Green play *against* this GS core. And lose. Like the little bitch that he is.

I’m beginning to think Draymond dropped in his draft because he didn’t interview well

Not only did they get Kevin Durant in his prime from the hands of Adam Silver, they avoid hard capping themselves with dray and extend their championship window while keeping the fans happy.

I cannot stress how perfectly everything is set up, just looking back at everything the warriors done, it has been the exact, play by play, perfect situation for them every fucking time for almost a decade. Truly remarkable for their organization, theyve been so good it doesnt even feel like they could do it themselves, almost as if adam silver is silverspooning the right thing into their mouths every chance he gets. You have to respect it as an outsider.

Draymond is going to go down as one of the best glue guys in the history of the NBA and Twitter and Reddit will have you thinking he was dog shit.
