People keep acting as if the Nuggets weren't in the Conference finals just 2 years ago. Besides, the teams that knocked them out the last 3 years all went to the Finals and 2 of them won it all. So the Nuggets kept running into teams that no one else was able to beat either.

The Lakers DO NOT have that much talent as you said. You can't ask a 20th season LeBron to carry the team to a playoff spot let alone a high seed. Westbrook isn't considered a star player anymore. Same thing happened to Allen Iverson in Detroit and they let him go after a season, doubt he'll adabt to a new role. Noone believes AD anymore, this team will be in play-in at best case scenerio and they ain't defeating the top seed. They don't have the quality bench players like title season.
