If we have this situation next season with Poku, I’m going to be inconsolable.
I won’t be mad if we extend him.
As much as I’d like to see him traded, it would have been so much more fun to see Darius evolve into the type of player that would excel in our play style. You can tell he wants to be good,. He just isn’t where he thinks he’s at yet.
If this really is an “exit interview”, I feel for the guy and hope he finds his footing with a good organization.
He has the potential to be a great defensive player but does he fit the system Thunder is building where we have multidimensional players capable of doing many things? I think not
I think he’ll be re-signed, but it won’t be an indicator that he’s staying long term. It will just be Presti putting him into a tradeable contract, for future use.
