Dang! Well he never even played that much I thought he would have stayed
Seen him attend church a couple times at my local Parish and tbh he just did not look NBA ready for me. Not insanely tall, pretty skinny, and every time I saw him play on the court he was timid and not very assertive. Sad to see him go but don't think we'll miss him for long.

This shouldn’t be surprising he did not show up when getting the chance! He shot 20ish % that’s awful for a shooting guard c‘ min man! 😅 he looked comfortable in the G-League games which is where he’ll stay idk about the NBA games cause every time I saw him play he looked LOST!

I attended an Austin Spurs game early last season and sat right behind the Spurs bench. It was obvious that Primo was very tight with Joe Weezy. Wieskamp played well in that game and showed the poise and confidence you would expect from a 22-yr old. And his stats were worse than 18-yr old Primo’s. He’s a good guy, he’s got a good outside shot (given time to prove it), but his potential is not as high as the players that are still on the roster. I wish him well and hope his time with the Spurs prepared him for success with another team.

Langford was immensely better than Wieskamp, which is why he showed effort in like 1.5 games and easily outplayed Joe. So I get why they waived him.
That being said, sometimes shots don’t fall and shooters have a cold streak. I don’t think the Spurs wanted to give up on Wieskamp after only 1 year, especially since he missed summer league and had less time to try and impress. But everyone else on the team is better.
If he clears waivers (which he probably will), I wouldn’t be surprised if Spurs signed him to the G-League team.
Honestly I was releaved when I saw. I actually hoped for it and half expected it. I just never saw enough promise from him beyond a 3rd string sniper. But our other guys KBD and especially Langford just have more versatility and upside (respectively). It was the smartest move. You have to give Langford that 3rd string minutes to see what you have.
