D’Angelo Russell is playing out the final season of the four-year, maximum deal he signed in 2019. Russell is extension-eligible with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but it doesn’t seem like the 26-year-old guard has an extension coming his way. On a recent episode of The Scoop with Darren Wolfson, guest Brian Windhorst said about Russell, “I have not heard any discussion of him getting an extension.” Wolfson agreed by adding, “Well, I think (Russell’s) representation has reached out to the Wolves, but it doesn’t seem like it’s being reciprocated.” Russell signed his current deal with the Brooklyn Nets as part of a sign-and-trade to the Golden State Warriors. That deal sent Kevin Durant, also via sign-and-trade, to Brooklyn. Russell was then traded at the 2020 trade deadline to Minnesota in exchange for Andrew Wiggins. Because he’s on an expiring contract, Russell will remain extension-eligible through the end of the league year on June 30.

He doesnt look hungry anymore to get better. I think he peaked and now hes just enjoying the lifestyle. He never speaks about winning and winning championships. I thought he reinvented himself in 2019 and his career was going up. Seems like he regressed
There’s also just not enough cap space to go around, unless no one wants to pay him around the League which I doubt after that Knicks pg contract last summer he’s walking

I am not paying Dlo 15 mil. He not even as good as Tyus. Tyus has passed him up overall. Dlo will have some inconsistent explosive games once in a great while. And most will be when he is not needed

Ehhhh… think the point is too wait til February and, he knows that. Dane Moore said it. But, ANT needs too initiate the offense. Jaden needs too not get KAT fouls. And D-Lo needs to run 10 PnRs per game. We all love J-Mac. But, Jaylen Nowell is licking his lips everytime he’s in there so, if d-lo falls off… whatever. He’s a quirky dude, I think we just gt accept that. Anyway, just my 2 cents. 🐺$🫡

If D’Lo takes anywhere from 20-26 million a year. D’Lo has the talent and the potential with some teammates now. He’ll be an asset, he just needs to step up when his team needs him.
