What goes missing about murray right before his iniury was that he has a really slow start to the year. But before the all star break he turned into another gear and started averaging 25ish points on prime curry efficiency for a long stretch of time, like 25 games.

My Murray hope is he is still an elite rim scorer in combination to be a 40% 3 point shooter. If he can start controlling games like Dame with his threats of scoring and get his defender in foul trouble, he will be a allstar. Those free throws are going to be the difference in becoming a 23+ point scorer.
If he just scores the amount of points expected he is fine it doesn’t have to be finishing to the basket

Jamal has been amazing at finishing at the rim but poor at drawing fouls. To be fair, he has been so good he hasn't needed to.
Coming of an injury, will he still attack the rim and finish at the same rate or learn how to draw fouls…he is an amazing FT shooter after all. This could help him get to the 25ppg mark
