  2. Ricciardo3f1

Wtf happened between this and the bucks game?

  3. thestallion11

Still too weak , we get bodied by physical teams

  4. MrsGroover

Looking forward to next game. Trae can’t be this horrible two games in a row…

  5. Well it’s only counts as one loss. On to the next one.

Kevin Huerter isn’t our savior guys, we made the right and trade we’re better off with DJ Murray.

Games like this are why DJM is brought in

Toronto more or less played a style similar to Miami in terms of half court offense. Trae should be busting his tail off the ball and let DJM, who’s taller and can play against length, run the show for the night. The only 3 Trae hit was when he spotted up in the corner, pump faked, and shot a clean look from 3.

Trae is supremely talented but the most talented are hardheaded. That’s the only way you throw 10 Stevie’s against a defense that pretty much played you the same way all game.

I love him to death but cmon, Murray was brought in to make his life easier but tonight he insisted on making it hard on himself

I’m all for being optimistic. It’s early into the season. But I’ll be honest a lot of the “Give it time” type takes are giving me flashbacks to last year.

Defense has been a travesty so far and until that changes we are only going to be a play-in caliber team. If you assume any given possession that an opponent will be wide open at the 3-line then you’ll be right way more often than you’re wrong.

That being said maybe we’re just rusty. I’m gonna wait til Bogi comes back before I go full doomer, but I’m not feeling great.

JC has only made 1 three in his last 17 3PA it’s sad

  10. sm1tty404

Yes, Trae is our leader and our star and he played like shit but he by himself is not the reason we lost. JC and Clint was literally getting picked on and Hunter was pretty shitty outside of going on 3 point run in the 3rd but Scottie Barnes was having his way against him pretty much all night. Raptors is a nasty matchup against us with their length but when our bigs can’t even hold their own against them then we’ll never be able to compete.

that fools gold ECF run set our franchise back 3 years

  12. everythingaboutmusic

It’s always gonna be difficult to build a roster around a 6’2 pg but we have a generational offensive player and we need to do better and get him an actual coach

  13. TraexPitts

So how do you beat gap/switch everything defense ? Clearly NATE don’t got a clue

  14. everythingaboutmusic

Siakam/ Trae/ DJ big three is moving me

  15. Just checked the score and didn’t get a chance to watch the game. Why did we allow the opponent to score 137 points tonight? What happened?

  16. Dang, we sound like the Knicks with Thibs…Nate got to go.

  17. Ricciardo3f1

Ok so now we’re 4-3, which kinda look decent on paper but all of our wins were against lottery team. The only games we played well were the Bucks game and the 2nd Pistons game. The rest were close wins against tanking teams or got blown out by play in teams.

So yeah, in conclusion, not a good start, and we need to fire Nate because he’s responsible for most of the things going wrong.

  18. Travis was literally seeing the things wrong and explaining how to fix them on commentary and nate literally just watched like shit was ok, this man should not have a job

If this team isn’t a top 10 defensive team, it’s going to be a long year considering what they lost in offensive coaching, shooting, and shot creation. The hawks have two elite shooters with volume and one is out right now and injury prone. They absolutely have to reap the benefits defensively for what they traded for.
