Well, he has also demonstrated that his position is strong among players and the NBAPA, who have not said a single word..

So, I know stories about Kyrie at this point are almost like beating a dead horse, but I thought this was very well written and actually provided a few bits of information I didn’t actually know yet in terms of the film’s content, so I thought I’d share it. If it’s allowed on this sub, I can post the article text if people would like me to (as I know not everyone has a SI subscription).

This going to be the last year they let Kyrie play NBA basketball?

  4. LunchThreatener

I don’t know how anyone could give him the “benefit of the doubt”. He’s clearly been an idiot for years.

  5. SpiderGhost01

Uhhh…I haven’t been giving that guy the benefit of the doubt in a few years now. What took this dude so long to see what was obvious?

  6. bloodbuzzz

Great article, thanks for posting it.

    > This wasn’t just another flight of fancy. With his latest intellectual detour, Kyrie Irving has lost any benefit of the doubt. But let’s be clear on this much: COVID-19 is real, vaccines work, the Earth is round, and the Holocaust happened.

    > Refusal to accept these things doesn’t make Kyrie Irving brave or independent or a free thinker. It makes him Alex Jones with a jump shot.

“Qui tacet consentire”: the maxim of the law is “Silence gives consent”

  8. sallright

Hilarious how many pundits like J Will want us to acknowledge that Kyrie is intelligent.

The guy thinks the world is flat. He’s remarkably unintelligent. Just say it.

  9. Bonje226c

OK I guess Howard Beck figured it out about 3 years later than most people

  10. fluufhead

I hope he starts repping duke more. Maybe even do a “Nixon was good actually” bit while he’s at it.

  11. AntSmith777

Except he’s shown zero remorse and he’s still playing and there’s zero consequences.

  12. PromiseElectronic687

Give this trash the Meyers Leonard treatment and be done with it. There is no place for Kyrie in the NBA any longer. I would say it was a waste but he was never a winning player. Absolute cancer.

  13. Westcoastchi

Alex Jones with a jumpshot. Couldn’t have said it any better.

  14. Good stuff from Beck.

Unless the Nets, NBA, Nike, and NBAPA change course and do more than put out miquetoast statements the NBA may as well have a ‘Jews Don’t Count’ banner as part of their next social justice campaign.

  15. Correct_Surround_351

We should be thankful for his flat earth nonsense. Otherwise, there might be a risk of some people taking his more problematic beliefs seriously.

  16. moneedelray

You people need to make a mega thread fuck

  17. cmai3000

The main component of conspiracy theories is to trick someone into believing everyone else is wrong and only you can see the truth. Kyrie loves that feeling.

  18. IMKudaimi123

All these writers calling for Kyrie to be punished like the NBA didn’t punish Daryl Morey for calling out injustice in China…

  19. DaddyThrobs4u

Well, now we know why Kyrie said that the vaccine mandate was the greatest violation of human rights ever – because he thinks the *actual* greatest violation of human rights ever never happened.

  20. felarans0mekuti

Oh great another Kyrie opinion piece. Wonder how many more people are going unintentionally promote this movie

  21. Teefromdaleft

It’s a shame some team will pay him obscene amount of money in his next contract, because he can ball out…this world lacks accountability…smh

  22. sryforbadenglishthx

only now? i agree recently kyrie was/is on a diffrent trip

  23. TheDornerMourner

We as a whole have been giving anti intellectualism the benefit of the doubt or just generally trying to trivialize it. But it’s a serious problem communities have to face

When you have resources readily available being ignorant is purely a choice.

  24. pericles123

Alex Jones with a jump shot is a phrase that I will be using again

  25. Vanish_7

    Fuck Kyrie Irving.

    Fuck Kyrie Irving.

    *Fuck* Kyrie Irving.

  26. WadeCountyClutch

    I miss the old
Kyrie. The really quiet Kyrie. The Cleveland Kyrie. I hate the new kyrie! The blah blah blah Kyrie

  27. ThatBigNoodle

Same with Antonio brown. Should’ve lost benefit of the doubt years ago.
