The Cleveland Cavaliers turned a lot of heads last season when they finished with a 44-38 record. Unfortunately, injuries to Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley caused them to miss the postseason. But injuries weren’t the only thing to blame, as the Cavs had a bottom 10 offense during the 2021-22 NBA season. And this can largely be attributed to their over-reliance on Darius Garland. It was simple, DG plays well the Cavs win, DG struggles and the Cavs lose. So it was clear Cleveland needed to add another offensive threat, and they did exactly that when they added Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz. And so far Mitchell has looked incredible for the Cavs, fixing all of their offensive woes and more! So let’s break down what Donovan has done well for the Cavs up to this point… and why they haven’t even reached their max potential yet!
