Thing is I have no expectations of Gabe but I think many people were expecting Kyle to be that 20ppg guy. Canāt blame them, his name was one of the biggest next to Kawhi for the 2019 championship even though Siakam and Vanvleet were way more impactful in the finals than Lowry

Gabe has a significantly smaller contract and comes off the bench. You don’t really expect him to play well every night. He’s usually somewhat efficient on low volume, creates a few shots for others, and plays defense.
Lowry has significantly higher expectations and is supposed to be the leader on offense while also playing quality defense. He’s also making 28 million this season, 26 million more than Gabe.
I dont love Lowry, but I do remember our offense before him and I’d rather not return to that. People forget why we acquired him in the first place.

Heat fans are way too reactionary. A big contract doesnāt equate to scoring 20ppg. Its rewarded for playing your role and doing it well which Kyle does
