The OKC Thunder have had a strong start to the 2022-2023 NBA season. The Thunder’s franchise player, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been named the NBA Western Conference player of the week. SGA is averaging 31.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists. The Thunder have beat the Orlando Magic, LA Clippers twice, and the Dallas Mavericks. Despite Chat Holmgren being out of the lineup and despite OKC’s core players such as Josh Giddey, Lu Dort, Aleksej Pokusevski, Darius Bazley still finding their rhythm, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been the catalyst for the Thunder as he looks like a future all-star. Shai has made history in a win against the LA Clippers, as he became the first player in NBA history to record at least 30 points, 8 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals, 100 percent shooting from the 3-point line and the free throw line. In OKC’s recent comeback win against the Dallas Mavericks, Shai also recorded 38 points and 9 assists, together with a late-game surge from Isaiah Joe.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been the centerpiece of the OKC Thunder’s trade with the LA Clippers, when Sam Presti and OKC traded Paul George. Right now, the Oklahoma CIty Thunder’s rebuild has looked really successful, they’ve drafted Aleksej Pokusevski, Josh Giddey, Tre Mann, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl in 2021. This year, they drafted Chet Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng and Jaylin Williams. But SGA is still the best player on OKC’s roster. But is the Thunder’s rebuild complete? Can Shai Gilgeous-Alexander be a superstar for OKC?

Shai is a dream build 2K player. I’ve always thought his ceiling was something special due to his lanky smooth athleticism. His ball handles and dribble moves has the looks of an elite player. I’ve always been fascinated by guards who can get a shot off in any game. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Dwayne Wade always had that ability. Shai seems to have the look of a player who can create any kind of shot whenever he needs to.
Need to make some trades at the power forward, question is who would fit the best?
