A 100% Ben can help us out with our defensive problems. He’s just not there right now. MPJ spoke up and mentioned how it took time for him to get to where he is now from his back injury and how that’s most likely the case for Ben.

I disagree. The key is health and better coaching.
KD, Kyrie, Seth, Joe, Claxton, Royce, Yuta, Warren is enough to contend. Even if Simmons is still struggling we will be fine.

JJ trying to be a good friend. The kind that is always there to support you.
Issue is that if Ben only receives that kind of support from people close to him, he’s not going to get better.
If he gets constructive feedback from people he doesn’t know, he won’t pay it any mind bcuz he’ll feel that they don’t know any better. But if it comes from a friend, there’s more chance that he’ll take it to heart.
From what I can tell, he didn’t see Embiid or Doc as friends. Maybe as mentors. N he prbz feels like they turned on him.
We can’t expect him to be great right away. But we also can’t keep saying that he’s going to be alright if nothing is changing. Can’t sing praises whenever he makes 1 free throw or scores more than 6 points.
Idk. I’m speaking as an outsider. I’m simply saying that he shouldn’t hear only good things from friends.
