I get that from my friends now. Oh i’m the lame one because I don’t want to spend $13 on a coffee and a cream cheese chicken bagel sandwich.

Guess who has 30k in savings you bums

  2. trippleBob

Larry still out here talking that ish! I love it. Need more of that.

Its good to save where you can, but ffs hire someone to pave your driveway… some money should be spent

How not to be featured on a 30 for 30 episode about athletes blowing fantastical sums of money and being left destitute.

Especially back then it was easy to burn through the money. NBA players made great money back then, but nobody was making fuck you money.

Inflation adjusted Larry Bird made 67.5 million dollars over 14 years.

Tyler Herro signed a 4 year 120 million dollar deal.

if only he spent a little of his money to repave the driveway instead of doing it himself.

I know someone that had $20M net worth that went bankrupt.

couple of stupid business ventures that fail, on top of being a moron with spending, will wipe out millions in the blink of an eye.

as they say “you are a millionaire but if u spend like a billionaire, you will go broke.”

The bucks gm is really great about giving lessons to younger players on how to invest their money.

Larry Legend understood the benefits of compound interest

Overall really good of him but can someone teach this man about investing, especially in real estate. Makes sense not to buy a mega mansion which could fluctuate in value and potentially be a lot in upkeep but a 125k house(~450k now due to inflation) is pretty comical. Curious if he invested it anywhere or he pulled a Gianni’s and has it spread out over 30 banks.

You know white people; get money don’t spend it,
Or maybe they, get money buy a business

  13. I remember Magic signing a 25 year 25 million dollar deal and couldn’t believe it. Now dudes are making double that a year .

Bird is NBA royalty even if he didn’t save his money after playing, he would of had jobs lined up everywhere.

Lol first saw this on r/Bogleheads

Larry is so salty that deer follow him around so they can try and lick him.

  17. I knew this stupid dogwhistling blog post would get posted here when I came across it the other day.

Save half. Invest a quarter. Spend a quarter.

  19. tbf, Larry Bird fucked his career over with his cheapness.

  20. LazyAssedAmbassador

The Bird did that driveway because he’s the Bird. All this slander in here about hiring a guy to do it needs to die. The Great Dr James Naismith intended it to end this way.

Still can’t believe this is one of the best basketball players to ever live… this looks like a guy you see in the 90s with shades on mowing his lawn on a tractor drinking a beer. Not beating down some of the most athletic men on the planet. Guys a freak

  22. gillybot1016

See, I’m a man of simple tastes. I like gunpowder…and dynamite…and Budweiser! Do you know what all of these things have in common? They’re cheap!
