Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavericks with 33 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists, his 7th consecutive game of 30+ points, while Jordan Clarkson tallied 22 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the Jazz. The Mavericks improve to 4-3 on the season, while the Jazz fall to 6-3.

Mavericks have been a solid team so far this year and if they could somehow get another piece to fit alongside Luka, they could be really dangerous in the West. If only some team would take on Powell and Bertans in a trade. Maybe a team like the Hornets would do that in this scenario:

Again this is just a prediction but it would be an interesting trade scenario since the Hornets aren't going anywhere in the East with teams like Toronto, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Boston, Milwaukee, and Brooklyn being the focal point in the conference. 3:33 Luka is incredible, don't get me wrong. And yes, I'm a Jazz fan. But this play is infuriating. Luka had no intention of landing on his feet. Sticks his knees forward to create contact and flops to the floor. I hate flopping. I know it happens all the time, probably on every team in the NBA. But I found this very irritating.

Utah has taken the Phoenix Suns formula and it's netted them a solid record so far. They will only take two's when they're down. They will then build a decent lead and when they get that lead they will start jacking up 3's. At the end they passed up a wide open 3 with Conely in the corner for a tough two. They live strictly by this game plan.
I think the Mavs should adopt this style, because Reggie, DFS, THJ all combined for something like 2-11 for 3's. They were awful shooting the rock. If this team settled for more scores in the paint, they could not only build a lead, but hold on to one. They just love to jack up 3's way too much.

As a jazz fan I still feel pretty proud even though they they came up short tonight by three points this was a hard fought loss it could have went either way they ended up on the short end of it give credit to Dallas and their players that obviously going into this tonight, I was already saying Dallas is the better team there's no question Dallas is all so better than Phoenix that was proven as well and they still are the record was misleading because they're much better team than four and three and this is already in the season but Utah is capable of beating Dallas they showed that tonight they're more than capable actually they didn't get it done tonight but I've got confidence that they could beat them a couple times this season if they play them four times they did make some key mistakes and you credit Dallas for a smart coaching there and sometimes that's how it goes but I don't feel bad because even though Utah kind of blew the lead and kind of made some key mistakes late in the fourth and they let Spencer, Reggie and Luka kind of control the show in the last 5 minutes of the game and yet they still had a chance they were One missed three-pointer away from tying it putting into overtime they really should have won this but I feel good about it because this gives them a lot of hope that they actually could knock off this Dallas team the potential is very much there we'll see what happens next time they play them…….
