Even though he isn’t that best center having a rim protector that is a 7 footer is helping us so much

He’s showing so much flashes of greatness that I think he will certainly come up good in the future.
The defence is real, gotta cut down on silly fouls. The offence will come along with reps but there are flashes of great positioning so putbacks should come alive shortly.

He’s been good, but I noticed his body language in the 3rd quarter after Pascal didn’t throw him a lob was awful. He was whining and missed out on an offensive rebound and putback. Hope that’s not a trend.

The pick and roll/Alley oop with Barnes was disgusting. Once they get that down, few teams will be able to defend it.

I really like how he is playing so within himself. Right now they want him to defend, catch a couple of lobs, and he’s going after it. He’s not trying to do too much. They’ll give him some shots on the perimeter later I’m sure , but for now, he’s playing his role perfectly.

It’s funny that we can see that the all longboi strategy wasn’t going to work and that we need a traditional centre.

1 block the whole game and we celebrating? Guy is overrated.

I’m more impressed with the way he moved his feet and stayed with the guard who was driving before getting the block. That was some nice quickness

Koloko unlocks the longboi lineup with his ability to defend the rim and not get completely exploited out on the perimeter so far. Ever since FVV got injured, the Barnes/GTJ/OG/Pascal/Koloko lineup has the best net rating on the team at +13.5. Perhaps that is a function of the competition being relatively weaker but from the eye test they have been absolutely dominating on the defence and in transition. You have to like what you see so far from his addition to the team. I think the front office did a good job of not lonely finding a true centre, but finding one that fits the scheme. Now its on Nurse to deploy him in the right situations and lineups. IMO he should see zero minutes in the g-league this year.

Just sitting here thinking about a future defensive Trio of OG/Precious/Koloko 🤤

He’s so long and moves so well for his size. No idea how he slipped to us in the draft.
Outside of the super dynamic superstar type skilled bigs that typically go early in the lottery, Koloko is like the prototypical ideal big teams really value. The perfect rim protector/PnR big build.
How he went in the 30s is a mystery to me

What a player! He’ll be an elite defender. If he can develop an offensive game, look out! Great draft pick.

1. Koloko being able to cover on the perimeter and never get beat is more impressive than the block itself I think 2. We often get beat on the glass because whoever is in Scottie’s position here has to help on the drive and Poeltl is open for an easy OREB. Having a Koloko defending the paint means our forwards can box out which is massively important

I must have seen at least six or seven clips of him blocking someone and he’s been playing in the NBA for, what? 2 weeks?
Outstanding talent

One of the things I love about Koloko’s blocks is that a lot of them stay in play and the ball finds its way to a teammate. He’s not just swatting the ball 5 rows up and giving the opponent the ball back on an inbound.
