[Stein] Advance scouts have extensive knowledge of opposing team play calls, and I heard from one club that, in one of Nash’s final games, there were in the ballpark of 10 easy-to-spot occasions that Kyrie ran something completely different after Nash shouted the play he wanted.

And people will continue to blame Steve Nash when we have two superstars who want to play pickup ISO ball like they are playing in Rucker park.

Let’s see how Ime deals with this shit.

  2. As reported, Nash felt he lost the locker-room. This is just an example.

But might not be only Kyrie’s fault. As a team the other players might just have kept deferring to him and KD due to a lack of confidence (Simmons in particular).

I’m glad the media is shedding light to how remarkable of a coach Nash was, and per this report, if the Nets just ran what was actually called… they would have scored more points? Because offense was always the issue? Not the fact that Nash mismanaged roster rotations throughout last year, routinely passed on giving Claxton minutes until his development was beyond obvious, and even poorly used Jarred Allen when he was here? How he literally showed no adjustments in back2back playoffs?

Maybe I need to be quiet because I’ve actually watched >90% of the games during Nash’s years, and just say Nash was elite bc the media that was torching him before his firing is now singing his praises

The narrative of Nash being a good coach has been wild the past 48 hours.

Oh so how about the timely missed opportunities to call timeout? The non usage of challenges during crucial moments in gameplay? The rotations?

Not a good coach, but kyrie has been the problem since day 1.

OK but the lack of a defensive plan was clearly on Nash. Kyrie is a bigoted ahole but Nash is a terrible coach. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

Yo idk why they feel the need to post this shit. On any given game, I’m sure there are multiple plays where players don’t run the play that was called by the coach

Nash is too nice a guy to ever give any indication publicly but he is human so I’m sure he is having a laugh watching Kyrie get his comeuppance so soon after.
