Down 19 to come back and take the lead. That takes some heart. Really proud of our guys for that. Shooting was brutal at the end but I’ll take the effort and teamwork over the 3s any day.
RattlingBones35
Nuggets had 3 full days of rest so this felt like a scheduled loss.
Liked the effort in the comeback and Shai is a God but man, we can’t make a 3 to save our lives. The lack of shooting doomed us.
Presti has to adress this at some point.
Anyways, fun game.

I truly didn’t believe we would be a 500 team this early into the season. Therefore, I’m casting my vote against the tank.

I better not see any Giddey hate in here. He’s still developing and not even old enough to drink yet. He’s the 6th pick and a cornerstone for our future. Let him figure it out
12footjumpshot
Friendly reminder that Cam Whitmore shot 45.5% from 3 during FIBA
LugNutsDort
60% from 3 from Denver was the difference. They shoot at a normal clip and we are in that ball game might win it. Also we shoot 30% same thing…

Shai didn’t even attempt a 3?
Either_Opening_41
Giddey makes this game competitive and he cost this game in 4Q. I’m happy to see his confidence.

It would be helpful if tre Mann could get out of this shooting slump. J DUB not scoring much is understandable given he hasn’t even played 5 games. We need both to perform if this team wants to reach a new gear.

The effort was great, but shooting and rotations killed us in the end. Ready for Chet to get back. He will fix just almost every hole.

Get Shai some fucking help

– Miserable start lol. 13-0 is unacceptable. Gotta execute better!!! – Leaving KCP open way too much – Better effort sticking on 3 point shooters after the first OKC timeout. – Slick drive and baseline pass by Jdub to JRE – Nuggets are torching us from the right corner 3. – SGA continues to capitalize on loose balls/turnovers to convert in the fastbreak and getting to the line quite a bit. – Just realized SGA had 17 in the first quarter. Wasn’t particularly flashy it felt – POKU HUSTLE PLAY. Heads up pass by JRE to know where Dort – We literally are only scoring on deflections, and fastbreak points. This should make sense since Denver is definitely more talented than OKC, especially in the half court. A scrappy competitive game is more in our favor – Giddey and SGA came in with 6mins left in the 2nd quarter. – Good to see Giddey attacking the rim and hitting some floaters – GREAT backdoor cut by Giddey, and good pass by Shai. Giddey’s reverse barely rolls out – Down 14 going into halftime. This is copium, but if we didn’t have such a bad start, this would feel relatively close – Good offensive and defensive possessions (3) coming out of the half – Muscala starting the 2nd is such an op “mark diaganaol sekrit paly”. He just like…makes us play better even if he’s not touching the ball on every play – Josh Giddey seems to be getting back into form. Making some clever transition passes, solid d (guarding MPJ on the baseline) and nice 3 to boot – Really loving Dort’s drives to the basket. Taking advantage of lack of rim protection. This is what I want to see because I really hate him trying to muscle past 3 dudes at the rim hoping to make a layup – JOSHUA GIDDEY FOR HIS SECOND 3 – Im ngl, we might be the best 3rd quarter team in the nba. It’s 85-84 denver up with 3mins left in the 3rd. We were down 71-57 at halftime. – LOL WE FORCED A FIVE SECOND VIOLATION ON DENVER LOL. – Game is tied at 95 going into the 4th. – Joker has been cooking us in the 4th – Denver has done a good job getting back on defense as well as keeping somebody at the rim to make it hard for SGA, Giddey, Dort to drive – OKC also had to take a ton of 3s and missed each on in the 4th haha-
All things considered, pretty good showing by the Thunder. I very much expect the Nuggets to be in a championship contention and to keep it as close as we did is impressive. Definitely parts of the game where we could have played better, and parts of the game where we played really well. SGA was insane once again. And it was good to see Giddey get back into form. I thought Dort played especially well on offense today. We scored most of our points off scrappy defense and fastbreak and our superstar Shai doing what he does best.

Anyone know why Isiah Joe didn’t play?

Idc that we lost this team is fun

It’s obvious from those 4th quarter lineups we’re still prioritizing giving the young guys opportunities to test themselves in high-pressure, late game scenarios. Young players need to learn how to win, and you don’t learn without opportunities.
Feels like some people forgot we had another amazing comeback tonight driven by intense defense and smart, selfless basketball. I also feel like people forgot how great Josh played in the 3rd and contributed to that comeback. Probably some of the best combined Shai + Josh minutes we’ve seen so far in their brief time together.
Crazy that we were in it to begin with, considering Denver was close to setting a new record of 3s in a quarter in the 1st.

Does Giddey hurt our fluidity when Shai is leading the offense? Felt way different with him in tonight

Not gonna lie. That was a painful loss for me
