You know I love you Relle but you are wrong on not trading Timmy and Bertans for Ben Simmons straight up if the chance presented itself. If a all star calibre player comes available at a discount, issues or not for pennies – you make the trade! I would drop 2k on a flight, hire a car and drive THJ and Davis to the airport myself!
Ben playes good in regular season but come play-offs he is stight trash cant hit a free throw and wont shoot and his d is not that good no more he has fouled out like 3 or 4 games and thj played good last time he was in the playoffs put up almost 20 a game and is coming of a injury give him time he is a good role player at times can go off and put up numbers
McGee almost unplayable, DP is back… THJ terrible. DFS 32% from 3 so far. Bullock has a better % from 3 than the field… We still terrible at rebounding and shot blocking
Interesting THJ vs Simmons conversation, that's a fascinating debate. I have to agree with King, Simmons as putrid as he's been is still better than THJ, who is just shooting Mavs out of games except for the rare 1 in 5 game when he gets mildly hot — and even then it's barely enough to compensate for his defensive deficiencies.
The only caveat for me is that Simmons would have to be 100% on board with coming off the bench, because I'm really not sure what there is for him to do in a Luka spread P&R offense — can't shoot, afraid to drive to the rim, and Mavs don't really have the cutters or movement shooters for him to find with passes. But off the bench, against softer defenses, setting up a Powell or McGee for lobs, finding a cutting Green, taking the ballhandling and defensive load, I can see Simmons being fairly effective — again, compared to what you're getting from THJ.
Regardless, I doubt the Nets are looking at THJ, I don't see how he addresses any of their problems. They already have defensively suspect shooters in Mills and Curry… I think Eric Gordon is the more likely subject of these Simmons rumors, because he is at least a decent defender.
THJ, Bertans and Ben contracts all end after the 24-25 season. Our guys will be making 16M each, Ben will be making 40M then. Makes 35M right now. He's better, but i can't put 40M of cap space in 1 asset that's that damaged. One of the KP trade beneficts was to break down the contract.
Dinwiddie isn't PG, he can't play that role. He's a good scorer and fits on the Mavs. I still can't forget we could have Dragić as a second unit PG, he's playing amazing this year for the Bulls. THJ & Bertans for Ben or Westbrook straight up, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I love CWood on offense, but his defense isn´t 50% of Maxi`s Within time coming he should be able to improve by learning the defensive schemes
