McMenamin will say, do, or write anything to stir up the pot. It’s what his ESPN masters crave. Drama, drama, drama. So I wouldn’t worry about it.
Ham’s the kinda coach that will hear him out, give him another chance, even when fans think he shouldn’t, and that’ll be that. Once he’s traded you’re gonna hear about Myles Turner or Buddy Hield or Josh Richardson being upset they didn’t close a game.

He’s getting traded who cares man. He’s playing good and will help us stay afloat until we find a trade

Yeah dude is too temperamental for this to work.

We’ll see if he was actually upset but I think it was partially due to not wanting to give an actual answer so the reporter(s) can’t ask the same question to LeBron/AD and want a different reply. For example, it was in one of the previous losses’ post-game interviews (maybe Blazers or Nuggets game) where Russ answered that Lakers were playing too slow. LeBron was later asked the same question about the pace and he said it was fine. In reality, Lakers made a run to end the half but came out very slow and gave up a lot of transition points by walking the ball up in a half-court setting.

Yeah he needs to sit his ass down.
You’re a bench player now, Russ.
BaullahBaullah87
Its obvious he was upset…we’ll just need to see this continue to play out before hitting the danger button on Russ or praising his complete buy in.

MacMenamin does not have sources inside the org and hasn’t for a long while.

Upset or not upset, pelinka and LeGM should have made the Pacers trade and it would guarantee a top 4 seed in the west if no major injuries and a deep playoff run. Westbrook used to be a great player and hasn’t been since his mvp season. No diss but if this trade was actually offered by the Pacers it’s ridiculous to turn down. They’re holding on to 2 picks meanwhile LeBron is 40 years old 😂

He should be upset. That’s how he gets motivated. Normal for him

not buying it. but also i mean, 2 years ago this guy was v v productive. it’d be odd for him not to at least think he can still contribute in clutch time.
i think if he is, he’ll get used to it. but as others said, i think he just don’t like him

Don’t care about this. Ham is in control of the situation

Oh look, more shitstirring. I hate ESPN.

It shouldn’t matter, Westbrook and Ham seem to have a good relationship. I do somewhat understand his frustration though, he was playing very well and didn’t get the opportunity to close. Personally, I would’ve put him in OT over Pat Bev but that’s why I’m not a coach lmao

He seemed fine to me and you can’t really take the post game presser as any indication since he was giving short answers to the ones he felt were slandering him in their articles.
He’s played well in his role and has received more praise in a week than he received the past year so I highly doubt he’s any less Motivated or bought in after the Pels game.
life_is_a_burner
I saw him cheering the fuck outta Matt Ryan’s 3 pointer.

Being upset is ok. He’s a human. He wants to be in during the most important moments.
What matters is how he handles that.

If you want to skip the narratives some reporters and aggregators make up, just watch the actual player interviews and listen to the quotes in real time with context. Whenever I do that, I pretty much have no need to pay attention to this secondhand stuff.

These reporters r faker than a 3 dollar bill he was cheering on the bench and excited for Matt. It is LA so drama will be stirred up.

As long as it doesn’t affect his play, nope.
