[Wojnarowski] Ben Simmons has been a source of frustration for Kevin Durant for others on the Nets so far, because he has been unable to stay on the floor but prior to that, he has shown that he’s a long way away from being back to an impactful player.

It’s only been a few weeks since the season started and the Nets are already sick of him

There’s not a single positive in Brooklyn, huh

  2. pinoyakopinoytayo

KD’s team is already laying the groundwork for his “get me the fuck out of this mess part deux”

Nets fans aren’t celebrating getting rid of Harden anymore? what happened?

Where’s all that energy gone Brooklyn. Cheer, get hyped Harden isn’t there anymore.

On a team with Kyrie on it, **BEN SIMMONS** is your biggest frustration KD?

  5. red_right_hand_

Who isn’t Ben Simmons a source of frustration for?

  6. Neither Ben or Kyrie staying on the court for too long it seems. I wonder if Ben would play better if he played center like Roco did for the rockets that one year.

  7. The thing is if when he’s been on court he look even just as good as the last reg season for the Sixers it would be fine. He’s an awesome fit. The problem is he looks like complete dog shit. I’m fine with giving the guy time to get right given he’s coming off back surgery, but at the same time you would expect improvement.

And cause it’s Simmons you have to question his commitment to getting better from his current standing. At his current play he actively hurts the team and Claxton is our third best player every night.

  8. So wait.. KD is frustrated with Ben bc he has an injury and cant play and yet his bff is spewing some crazy batshit nonsense and he’s ok with that? Ok

This isn’t even a big deal and probably the least of the Nets problems.

Theres a saying in Brazil: What’s a fart when you already shit your pants?

what is Legion Hoops? Is that account legit? I thought they were like a ballsack account – am I mistaken?

He has been impressively bad, and I’m rooting for the kid. He just doesn’t offer anything. Even with his (deservedly) vaunted defense in past seasons, he’s now become a foul machine. He’s as useless in offensive half-court sets as he always was, still can’t shoot free throws, and he’s far less aggressive about getting points.

He’s a 16 ppg scorer for his career on good efficiency. It’s not like the dude as never able to put the ball in the hoop. He just isn’t anymore, and his defense isn’t close to making up for it.

Ben Simmons famously reacts well when his teammates express anything short of unconditional support for him.

  13. Man Only if KD had a place to go where he could just focus on winning championships and playing basketball.

MF coulda been collecting rings in golden state but *nooooo*

  15. rzoneking

At this point, Ash Ketchum have better legacy, than Ben Simmons

Doc was right when he threw Ben under the bus after that Game 7 loss to Atlanta

Nets trading for Ben was a bigger mistake than the Lakers trading for Russ last year

KD really wasting away years of his NBA career by choosing to play with Kyrie. I know he’s rich af and gets to play a sport for a job but losing can’t be enjoyable

Does anyone have a source to the actual quote? Because the only thing OP links to is an unverified Twitter account. That links to the ESPN NBA Twitter account, that doesn’t have this quote on its feed.

    Sooo…..

  19. Coolguynumber01

    Did Woj actually say this?

The source OP linked is not Woj, its just some account quoting Woj with no source linking it to the actual quote?

The nets actually went back for a second helping of shit sandwich

  21. dead-serious

holy shit this is even too much drama and pettiness if you were talking about the regulars at LA Fitness

It’s really a shame kd never got to play on a great team and prove his stability and commitment to a winning culture

  23. KupaSikiBaki

The Nets need to salvage their season. The only way to do this is to play that song “OOOH HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH” song on full blast every film and practice session.

  24. Tofumanchu

His best bet I think is to be traded to a small market rebuilding team so he can try to recreate some value for himself without the pressure or spotlight.

  25. Ben looked so happy and chill when he was on the bench. I think he finally found his natural habitat.

  26. hammad_mhi

Love this for the Nets. Couldn’t happen to a better franchise and fanbase.

My take away from this is, KD is completely okay with Kyrie posting anti-Semitic material and the organization completely and unnecessarily blew things out of proportion. However, Ben who had back surgery, mental health issues, and hadn’t played in nearly 2 years is barely starting to get his rhythm back, causes him frustration.
