Jaden Ivey is Even Better Than We Thought…

Jaden Ivey has been making his mark on the NBA rookie of the year race so far despite having to compete against the likes of Paolo Banchero, Bennedict Mathurin, and Keegan Murray.

The Detroit Pistons took Jaden Ivey with the 5th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, and he’s already looking like he’s better than advertised coming out of Purdue.

Ivey is going to serve as the perfect complement to Cade Cunningham, and with the growing stash of talent in Detroit with Jalen Duren, Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart, and more, they could be competing again very soon.

  1. Ivey and Cade make my hopes for the future higher than they’ve been in the past 10 years. If only the Lions could do the same…

  2. Crazy good video man. Your content is top notch. Very interesting to hear about the 3 man lineup with Duren. I think he’s our big of the future so I’m excited to see how he looks next to Cade and Jaden. Keep going Alex, growth coming soon

  3. Ivey and Cunningham need to improve their outside shooting and especially from 3 if the Pistons are gonna be contenders. 💯

  4. the 🐐 back at it and that ivey cunningham backcourt is going to be so dangerous in a season or two

  5. If Bailey can come back and actually hit some outside shots he’ll be a monster as a roll and pop man .

  6. Can we talk about that move he pulls at the 0:18 mark? Good god I just had to rewatch that three times before continuing with the video

  7. Good look on shing that light over here in Detroit the ceiling for Ivey, Duren and our young squad is scary

  8. Currently, Cade looks like a budget Luka and Ivey looks like a budget Morant. but given that luka and ja MVP front runners, anyone would be a cheap version of them lol. Who knows what those two will become in a few years, Pistons really have a good young core

  9. More and more guys learn how to capitalize w/o advanced ball handling. Ivey not a craftiest one, but I do like how he manipulates defense with euro step / pace /timing combo.

  10. I watch the Pistons religiously. Both Cade and Ivey are some of our best. They both definitely still need to work on their defense, but offense is coming around for them as well. Ivey has to learn how to control his tempo and move-set to really take advantage of his speed. Since he’s a good passer, he can really take advantage of collapsing defenses when he starts to make his adjustments to this league. Cade is just Cade. We know this. However, when bro starts hitting 3’s with consistency, then it’s over.

  11. Imagine if we get the 1st overall pick lmao. Going to suck to play whatever team does get that pick tho…..

  12. I definitely think they need more Ivey cutting options off of a Cade assist. The past couple of games (although against good defensive teams) Ivey didn’t cut like he did for easy buckets in the first couple of games. Because of that, Cade and Ivey haven’t meshed well these recent games. They just have to keep it simple. Cade iso, Ivey cuts. Ivey iso, Cade cuts or shoots (since Ivey is a lot better at collapsing the defense with his speed) a wide open shot.

  13. You make some of the best videos I've seen when it comes to breaking down the technicals. I used to watch a bunch of other nba youtube commentators but now its mostly just you and LOW

  14. I love his passion for the game and city of Detroit. I'm still concerned about his shooting (his foot doesn't seem set or inconsistent) and middle range game but it's impressive that he has been able to impact the game the way he has.

  15. they need to study that Luka-Brunson combo. Ivey is fast and can get to the rim at will but he needs to get better at playmaking

  16. It doesn't matter how many number one picks the Pistons have they will continue to be garbage they haven't been relevant in years and I don't see them being relevant again in my lifetime
