Boston Celtics set team 3-point record, beat New York Knicks

The Boston Celtics set a team record, hitting 27 3-pointers on their way to a 133-118 win over the New York Knicks. Everyone who played hit one, Tatum and Brown had six each, and Sam Hauser hit five. John Karalis of Boston Sports Journal talks about that, the lack of defense that still plagues them, and the good news about Robert Williams.

  1. Hauser was fantastic and I feel bad for Pritchard but there’s just no minutes for him-not with the way Brogdon and Sam are hooping. I almost hope Pritchard gets moved so that at least he can go somewhere where he’ll get to play. He’s just languishing on the bench and it’s got to be disappointing for him. Tatum started off slow but really came through late when it looked like perhaps the Knicks were going to close the gap. 27 threes is amazing but I hope they don’t get too comfortable jacking up so many all the time. On second night of a btb I’m cool with it. Thx John☘️🔒

  2. Good win tonight, plus it feels great to see the bench step up and contribute these past two games. Last season, it was Grant, White and Pritchard that was asked to score off the bench. Props to Hauser.

  3. Celtics without Timelord= High octane 3 point machine capable of becoming the greatest downtown team ever 🔫

Celtics with Timelord= Methodical defensive monster with a knock out punch 👊

    Dare I say this,
If we trade Timelord for another centre who is a great shooter are we taking our offense to another dimension? A place where 30 3pt made per game is an average?

Obviously the no.1 target if that ever was the case would undoubtedly be Towns

As much as I love Timelord, replacing him with a great shooting centre would be immense

  4. The reason I'm not mad about the defense tonight was because is a back to back I expected it tbh.

  5. @John hope the family time was well spent. Thanks for the upload and discussion. Glad we got a win with Al getting much needed rest. @John anything tell you we will be getting a big man soon for a 1st rounder and PP? Or do you see the C's waiting til the trade deadline?

  6. Hauser is going to average more than Hayward ever did in green! Love to see him get minutes, he's looking better every game.

  7. Offense looks good but man the defense is atrocious. The Knicks are not that good. Should’ve won by 40.
