Despite the loss, Alex Caruso found ways to contribute while building a brick house: 4 points (1-11), 11 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and the only Bulls starter with a positive +/- (+15)

It was a very ugly shooting night from Caruso, missing layups & bricking open 3s, but it did not deter him from finding other ways to contribute. He grabbed the second most rebounds on the Bulls, and he had a lot of good reads from DeMar passing out of constant double teams.

It’s very difficult to have a negative impact when you’re as good defensively as he is.

bro is bob the builder, a lot bricks but also a positive figure

Yeah he caused a lot of problems in fantasy. It’s the last day of the matchup too.

Single game +/- is a bad stat to use for anything. Simple as.

I remember late in his career when he couldn’t score as well, J Kidd missed out on a ton of triple doubles because he was single digits in scoring

That 4th quarter turnover down 3 was aweful

Damn does he have a career triple double? Or not very many? That’d suck

Edit: immediately looked it up and he has zero. Damn

Add in the two turnovers late in the game that cost us

+15 with a line like that is bonkers. I love watching this man ball.

Honestly so impressive to be able to compartmentalize your game like that and not let your off shooting night affect anything else

The true mark of a star is finding other ways to impact the game when your shot is not falling. #baldeaglemamba

With how many players the Bulls are missing right now Carusos offense is going to stick out like a sore thumb at times. He isn’t taking a lot of those shots with even just Coby White healthy.

As cliche as it sounds he’s a winning basketball player

hello i am the laker and i am an idiot for letting our son leave.

He’s a really solid rotational player who’s scoring is just a plus. I didn’t even realize he was having such a bad offensive game until I saw the stats. Seemed like he was making really good reads all night on both ends. Just couldn’t shoot the 3 I guess

That’s a page out of the Marcus Smart playbook

I agree that he did a lot to help the team win, but his poor shooting tonight did contribute to the loss. He passed up on some open looks just because he was cold and is not the star. It was a team loss tho, not all on Caruso. His individual stat line is not the problem. The team needs to play better, including Caruso.

this is actually a pretty impressive statline
