So I went through and watched all of his plays from last nights game and here is what I took away
1. He was finishing well around the rim. This game he actually got to the basket and he made some nice finishes. Drew a foul once and had a nice [reverse layup after splitting two defenders.](https://streamable.com/qyal2f)
2. His 3pt shot was a bit slow but he made them. He also made a nice 3 getting open to [drain it as the shot clock expired.](https://streamable.com/jwbjxw)
3. Good sense for defending layups. He had some really nice blocks showing great timing and just understanding how to stop the ball. One of them was an [emphatic block off the backboard.](https://streamable.com/mtrf0d)
4. The turnovers were there but not terrible. A few weren’t his fault, one coming off a questionable foul call. It didn’t stick out to me as anything more than some rookie jitters and none of the passes were bad in concept, just in execution.
It can be hard to tell how much of his success was from the level of opponent, but he definitely looked more confident and finally gave Wizards fans something to be excited about.

Thanks for the analysis! I think the G league will do wonders for him. if/when we have minutes later on the season due to injury/tanking he’ll come back with confidence and experience working in the offense. The G league isn’t a demotion, it’s a tool.
Correct me if I’m wrong but he also struggled in his first year at Wisconsin, right? He probably just needs to get a feel for the game at that level and then he can go back to his usual game.
