I would legit be furious if they did this

  2. Ben Simmons + 2023 1st RD pick in exchange for Future Considerations please!!

  3. JBeanDelphiki

I’ll take him if they give us a pick or it’s like the cwood trade

  4. nickthearchaeologist

Is this a legit source though? Or just someone calling themselves NbA CeNtrAl?

Twitter sources can be dubious, if not outright misinforming…

  5. DoncicsRoadTo200kg

No, its not a trustable source, completely random reporter.

    Mavs sources tiers:

Tier 1: Woj, Shams, Stein, Tim MacMahon, Tim Cato

Tier 2: Local beat reporters (Brad Townsend, Callie Caplan, etc)

    Tier 3: Everyone else

Lol that’s what everyone’s opinion was on dinwiddie!! Now what? Anyone notice how kp is killing it so far this season? But he sucks to right? Why is the mavs fans starting to turn into backseat coaches like cowboy fans. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Ever hear of that? Just look at missy of our championship team! Now onto what matters. Another win tonight. Let’s go mavs!

  7. Well, sure the Mavericks are a team to keep an eye on for Ben Simmons…. the Nets play the Mavs tonight. There is a good chance that Ben will be playing basketball with the Mavericks tonight.

Dude is damaged goods, will probably will never return to his allstar form, and even if he did, I wouldn’t want him, playing 4v5 on offense is not worth it, defenses will just double Luka off of him and have no problem leaving him open.

  9. LukaIzzzdagoat

So not even for bertans and thj who has been ass??

  10. Active_Page_3886

If it’s for useless garbage like Bertans, why not?

  11. jfrodriguez1983

“Keep an eye on” basically means I have no source telling me this, it is just a gut feeling.

  12. MutatedCaow

Tim + Salary filler may be worth it tbh.

  13. luntiang_tipaklong

Ben Simmons is on a large contract. This year it’s 35M, and his last year it’s 40M.

That’s a lot of money for someone with a lot of question mark. I doubt we’ll make a move like that.

NBA central just aggregates “news” from reporters. It isn’t a primary source or does any reporting.

    The original article is [https://heavy.com/sports/dallas-mavericks/mavericks-luka-doncic-ben-simmons-nets-trade/](https://heavy.com/sports/dallas-mavericks/mavericks-luka-doncic-ben-simmons-nets-trade/)

‘According to one Western Conference executive who spoke with Heavy Sports’ Sean Deveney, the Mavericks are a team to keep an eye on for Nets star Ben Simmons.

“Dallas is a team to watch, Simmons would be an interesting fit next to Luka (Doncic) if the Nets were willing to take back (Tim) Hardaway and (Davis) Bertans. I am not sure how much higher the Mavs could go in terms of an offer but that would definitely be interesting for Luka.”’

This is just two people being like, this might be interesting. Not reporting anything.

    He later says:

“The report comes amidst news that at least one Western Conference team has engaged the Nets in Simmons talks.”

This doesn’t say the Mavericks were that team.

McGee for Ben Simmons and a 2nd. Take it or leave it.

  16. uluvtheboi

I really want to know ppls reasoning for bringing on Ben.. seriously

  17. cypherdust

Let’s do it. Bench McGee and have Ben at the 5. This is a dirty way to get back to a top-5 defense.

  18. If we do this trade i would want my trade if i was Luka. Simmons looks just awful

  19. lochmoigh1

I would do it if I were the mavs. They need a talent upgrade and another ball handler

  20. whiskey_waves

Depending on who we give up he could be a good addition. He is a good ball handler and defender that could help run the second unit.

I haven’t quite given up on Ben yet and I think coming to a smaller market team could benefit him and possibly allow him to get back to his former self.
