Another gutless performance. Playing bad is one thing but playing with no effort until you’re down 20+ is just unacceptable. I know Finch can’t make shots for us but he needs to take blame for our lack of effort.

Also KAT has been very solid this year but at some point he needs to take over. D’Lo and Ant combine for more than double the shot attempts than KAT with the same amount of made FGs as KAT. He’s the most talented player on the court most nights and he needs to be way more aggressive. No reason he shouldn’t be averaging basically 30 PPG and leading us in FGA.

  2. Jamestny

Very easy wire to wire win for the Knicks. This team deserves every boo it gets.

  3. ghost91372

I’m convinced KAT is one of the most forgiving and loyal star players this leagues ever had. How he has never asked out is beyond me. He’s the only reason the wolves aren’t down 40 right now and it pisses me off an unbelievable degree to see people blame this teams start on him. He’s the only player on this entire roster playing consistently well this year

  4. StealthySnipe2

the year three Ant leap we were promised was into a dumpster

  5. Secret-Formula

Better be some chairs flying around the Locker room after that one.

  6. bobbywellington

    1 away from a beef n cheddar once again…

  7. porterhouse2588

I don’t think it’s out of line to start putting our hands near the panic button

  8. HauntingLocation

This team just isn’t fun to watch right now. We are a better team with Gobert, but when you look at what Dejounte is doing in Atlanta… it hurts.

Also what is up with Ant. Doesn’t look like he really cares to be out on the court.

I think this team was bound for regression no matter what after last year but now we don’t have our pick this year (or in 2025, 27, and 29). Could be a lottery pick which would be disastrous to say the least.

  9. irishace88

Nowell -19 in 10 minutes. He has been pretty bad outside of a few games. Just a complete negative on defense still. If Rivers is going to play defense like he did tonight it wouldn’t surprise me to see him take his spot in the rotation.

You also need to move McDaniels to the bench but it’s hard to start Anderson with Rudy. Will be interesting to see how Finch shakes things up.

  10. “They just need time” rings hollow when effort is an issue and no progress is being made on the court

  11. Therealrickyrubio

What an absolute shit show of a performance. Everyone involved should be embarrassed. Zero effort & zero commitment to success lead to garbage like this. I’m still a fan of the Gobert trade but this feels like a game where the loss of Pat Bev and Vando feels significant.

  12. scofieldslays

No other conclusion than the Towns DLo pairing cannot be the leadership on a good basketball team.

  13. ChbbyKttns

Finch needs to mandate 20+ shots from KAT until these bums figure out if they want to play in the NBA or not. We know he’s capable but he seems to shy away from trying to take over. I’m not even going to mention the other starters because they are so far away from contributing compared to him

  14. foye2smith

said it in the daily discussion, but no other issues matter until their shooting from three is resolved. everything else could be fixed, but if they’re going to continue to shoot 25% from 3 then every game is up for grabs by an opponent regardless of how the wolves play otherwise.

  15. srry_didnt_hear_you

Ugly ugly game. Gonna be concerning if we don’t start turning this around soon.

  16. MC_Ball_Peen_Hammer

This game wasn’t worth a comment, but here’s my dumb ass anyway. On to the next shellacking.

  17. SurlyWet

If I really believed this was an effort thing I’d be way less worried.

  18. 1000Isand1

There needs to be repercussions for lack of effort and poor performance.

    Ant as the 6th man

    DLo benched

  19. EsotericPotato

Ant has been giving me some Andrew Wiggins PTSD flashbacks.

I hope this is just a speed bump and not something more pervasive. Ant needs to be coached hard, he’s said as much. Not sure Finch is giving that to him this year.

  20. Starlight1017

11 games in and Season is over 🤦🏿

  21. PoopTartShartFart

Has Connelly talked at all recently about this team? I’m curious to hear his thoughts about the roster he constructed… yes I know Rudy has been out…

  22. People were trying to downplay this season with last by referencing the 4-9 record to start last year. Look at the upcoming schedule and tell me what you see

  23. jjbecker0209

Ant doesn’t move to off ball. Jaden needs to come off the bench. D’Lo is bad. Forbes is VERY bad. Not sure what the solution is when nobody cares.

  24. It’s a law of nature that Timberwolves fans can never be happy for any consistent period of time. We will never have a fun season without massive drama or problems.

  25. MarduRusher

Nah man, we didn’t just lose to the mid three did we?

  26. funkstrong

Watching Brunson break down Dlo/LittleMac and causing the rest of the team to scramble to help on 3s was brutal tonight. We need a PG that can break a defense down in the worst possible way.

  27. PapayaCak3

Man this was gonna be the first year I actually watched nba games… these pups making it tough

  28. crimfang

This team is a heartless trash can, wow. Towns is the only guy that looks like he wants to be out there most nights. Ant just decides when he wants to play and throws temper tantrums when he isnt shooting lights out.

  29. I think it’s time to stop persisting with the starting 5 and just find a line up that works. Seems we get a spark at some point but can never maintain it.

  30. ChanJosie

Bad effort all around. More sloppy passes than I could count. And even more guys late on D than I could count.

Agree with the Kat points others have noted, he should be shooting more. At least he’s scoring consistently.

No clue what’s going on with Ant, seemed completely uninterested, he’s on one night and then off for two. Something just seems off.

I’ve said it before (and I’ll do it again), plenty of this is on Finch. Whatever he’s telling that team either isn’t getting through, or they flat out aren’t listening, both of which are bad signs.

  31. Arbor-Trap

Last year was so fun to watch and after tonight I have zero intention or desire to watch this team at all

  32. guydudebro

That 52-pt Pro Am game from Jaden “Untouchable” McDaniels seems so long ago now. He should’ve been learning how to defend without fouling, not beating up on semi-Pro players.

  33. VikingsandWolves

Was the ANT preseason hype too much too fast?

He is only 21 and plays like it..

  34. Every other team that made a big trade is seeing a huge boost and fun surge. We are out suffering in hell. Hate to see it.

  35. BearRedWood

Wow, this is a frustrating team to watch.

Really seems like half the time the players on the court have no idea what they are supposed to be doing.

I hope they are trying to run some motion offense bc half the time there’s 1 lazy slip screen and 4 guys waiting for the ball and the other half of the time you have dudes running around endlessly.

I just get the feeling they are trying to implement this motion scheme but also too comfortable with their lazy “5 out” offense.

  36. captainduck2

Suns, Grizz, Cavs, Orlando and Philly.

I feel like we never win in Orlando and Embiid owned us last year (34/10/3).

We really could be looking at a 5-11 squad soon.

  37. You watch 5 minutes of a Utah Jazz game, and their fans are getting more joy and elation from that 5 minutes than we have collectively got from 11 games. Brutal.
