For all the talk about Nick Nurse being an elite coach dude clearly doesn’t deserve it. 3rd year in a row we break the all time record for corner threes allowed % you would think Nurse would adjust his system but nope another year same story. Why are you doubling Derozan out of the gate when you A. Have the best perimeter defender in the league in OG and B. Zach Lavine is playing and was the guy being doubled off of 70% of the time tell me that shit is the tendency of an elite coach
What is wrong with this franchise. In the summer Kevin f*cking Durant is available for trade but you don’t get it done because you don’t want to include Scottie Barnes. Fast forward to now you have the man doing dribble handoffs to role players and having 0 plays run for him like how do you validate your trust in the kid if your not putting him in opportunities to be successful.
Nick, I hope when you said "It's a learning experience" in regards to our young guys playing fatigued on a back to back game, you are referring to yourself and the rest of the coaching staff and not the players since there's plenty of guys on the bench who are getting barely any playtime. After all, it's your job to determine who is in condition to play, not the players.
I can't understand why the ball is dished to Koloko to score; he is not a primary scorer. A very poorly coached Raptors today; Nurse needs to have more schemes for Porter and others.
Ran out of gas tonight, tough one. Bench glaringly lacks a ball handler. Would be good to see a veteran PG be able to run that second unit to take pressure of Fred and Pascal running all the offence
that 3rd qtr was terrible when our bench came in… Boucher didnt make an impact.. our defense was non-existent. is tired legs from playing back to back? they dont even get back to defend transition. we were also outrebounded by 18.
