If you are comparing those stats you need to compare starting 5 to starting 5, not starting 5 to whole team.
Otto gp2 and bejilica is the big factor of gsw bench
Ong ,steph is just like that
warriors dont have a bench and klay still dogshit. Poole lost his marbles with the carries, getting called every game. wiseman, moody, kuminga still work in progress.
What's up with the Warriors? They've got one dude who's always played like the goat he is. You've got one dude who was never that good except for being a microwave at times and now after 2 injuries he's definitely not that dude anymore. You've got one dude who is actually underrated in terms of intangibles but his antics have literally cost them championships.
You've got raw, unproven youngsters that don't fit the timeline. You've got one young kid overpaid, and affected by punches and rule changes.
And the cardinal sin of greatly changing a championship team. That has never worked in history.
I used to think that JJ has been hating the Warriors but yeah this time his analysis is 100% on point.
They Payton & Porter from the bench. The young bench players are figuring out their roles
the punch is most def a factor
Just want to know where can I find this kind of stats. Because sometimes I just want to prove my point to my friends.
They just need to spend more money
Let us not forget the Warriors luxury tax bill. 170 million something last year. That's the TAX. Not including the salaries. The real problem is that the Warriors are just as much of a one man team as Harden's Rockets were. Rockets would not pay the tax though. 170 million. Youch!
Seems to have started when Draymond ASSAULTED a teammate in practice and the team President just said "these things happen." Disgusting.
They should sign veterans or trade some young offensive players for a young defensive player
The Warriors have one player who is actually good, Steph Curry. The rest of them are highly highly gassed up, over hyped bums and have been for a while and have been getting carried by Steph and KD.
I wonder if the coaching staff is remotely close to this diagnosis? Makes sense: people lie, numbers don’t
Basketball gods finally punishing them for all the rules they skirted and lucky breaks they got. For taking advantage of the cap spike to add kd to a 73 win team and ruin the competivness of Basketball. For tanking in 2020 to add Wiseman. For flagrantly going over the cap. For the luck they had in 2015 with injuries to love and kyrie. They've had enough good fortune for a few decades for a fanbase that never deserved a dynasty to begin with.
the bench used to be Poole, GP2, D Lee, and Porter Jr
Defense, defense, defense. It's that simple, they are playing horrible defense and letting mediocre teams score 115-120+ points per game. You either need monster performances from Steph or great offensive nights from most of their roster in order to win with that kind of defense.
Sure, Steph is playing at a superstar level and is pulling his weight (he's the only reason they're not 0-10 or whatever to start the season) but you cant expect him to drop 35-40+ points on efficient shooting every night. We need solid contributions from the rest of the team, on both ends of the floor. Time to step up, they've got no excuse to be in this shitty situation.
Fun game: Take a shot every time I wrote "defense" in this rant
🤣
This was the insight I needed.
I think the Warriors front office overpaid Jordan Poole tbh. It was such a big risk, essentially paying $30 mil/year for a 6th man. I've said this before, he could be an All-Star or could be a Jordan Clarkson type of player. Paying that much for a player who cant contribute that much defensively is such a risk especially if you dont have other players like GP2 to hide him on defense.
They're is only One 🏀. Feel like basketball moves along like water polo.
I wonder if Draymond is able to be his rah rah motivational self for the Warriors or does he have to tone it down because of the optics now?
“I just said that Tommy 🙄” 1:13. 😂😂😂
