“In 26 possessions as a pick-and-roll ball handler, Marcus Smart has scored 37 PTS on 14-of-19 (73.7%) shooting. His 1.42 points per possession in that role rank No. 1 in the NBA (min. 25 poss.)

    1. Marcus Smart: 1.42 PPP
    2. Giannis Antetokounmpo: 1.40 PPP
    3. Steph Curry: 1.37 PPP

Wow, obviously a small sample size but that’s impressive.

Credit where credit is due. He’s played much better recently

i said for years that smart is the only guy on the team who can run a decent PnR which was a huge problem for this team. not the case anymore with tatum’s development, brogdon, and white to an extent. but we relied so much on tatum/brown/kemba/kyrie isolation ball year after year, and i never understood how these talented nba players could not run a simple pick and roll

    anyway, marcus is the man.

He is one of the best point guards in the league

  6. Except for a couple bonehead things against the cavs he’s been awesome

  7. Marcus Smart is a point guard.

    A damn fine one, too.

26 possessions is nothing but it’s promising, our offense has been humming so far
